Player Valuation: £35m
Why aren't they starting anymore? they're getting subbed on so i assume they're not injured, but all i've seen of them this season, they've been remarkable. i'm all for blooding the youngsters, but with our long list of injuries now including cahill and arteta, the two players that have pretty much kept us afloat through the carnage, surely theres a place for these two in the starting squad.

what do you think, worth starting atleast gosling against wigan? he's proven i think he can be a utility player (wasn't he originally listed as a defender? for a defender he's certainly very good going forward)

In and out of the team its the way with youngsters and rightly so. Expect some periods when there not as good as thier going to be, paitence is key.

Rodwell and Neville in the midfield doesnt work, especially with no Arteta. Both arent forward thinking players and sit back allowing teams to pressure - see Albion, Blackburn, Boro games. Rodwell is a talant but still needs experience so I dont think he can marshall the midfield like Neville can.

Gosling wont get a game over Ossie. He still shouldnt start important games, but maybe should be given more time or a half against lesser teams. The Wigan game is an important game. But I do like Gosling, he looks very dangerous going forward and positions himself well, he's also not scared to run at players and have a shot. He's just lightweight and has a weak shot which will improve.

And yes, I dont think he's a defender - he's not strong enough in the challange.

When Rodwell hits 23-25 he'll be the key midfield player (whether for us or not is another story).

Spot on mate. My mates at Plymouth when we were first linked were telling me what a great DEFENDER he is!!

All good points, but most conclusive is that indeed with Rodwell and Phil, we have been mostly dreadful from a creative point of view when these two pair up. And I don't blame either of them.

Can't see Gosling being anymore then a squad player. I don't think he's good enough to become any sort of 1st team regular but i certainly think he can do a job when needed.

Rodwell is too inexpierenced at the moment and needs to work on a few things before i'm confident that he can play regulary for me. He's gonna be a top player though.

Rodwell needs Arteta. Neville-Rodwell center partnership is dreadful.

Like alot of young players Gosling goes missing when he starts.

They need more experience.
