Sorry but you're way off base. A buy back clause is a guarantee that if the price set is met then the deal goes ahead. You are basically describing a clause in which the starting negotiation point for clubs would be agreed upon.

That's not what I've heard the clause is.
The clause I've heard is that they've got first option to buy back IF we decide to sell. In the same way Liverpool had 'first option' to buy back Tom Ince if Blackpool decided to sell.
There is no release clause in Roble's contract. Just what I've heard.
Could just be a word jumble then. A sell back clause to me is just the same as a buy back or release clause. Never heard of a team putting in a first option clause in a player they just sold but then again I really don't care as I think the deal is good with the clause, whatever it may be, or without it.
