Roberto's Barkley Bid Comment

Status

Just sent an email to Sky news complaining about talking up the Ross Barkley/Utd thing.

The cheeky pricks used Bobby's presser showing the bit where he says players should be pleased with the attention but not the far more salient "loan" joke that puts it in context.

If you want to copy here it is:

"If you're going to make up a Utd move for Ross Barkley as per the piece on the news here's an idea - show the salient part of the Roberto Martinez press conference where he quips 50 million being a "loan" deal for Ross thus nailing the piece stone dead.

Oh hang on that would make your story a load of bollocks!!

Bloody amateurs."

Great email let us know if you hear back from them!

The reason for the anti moyes comments is quite simple. Finding himself in a lofty perch in the summer he tried to **** on everton down below. Martinez's casual comments about a Manu bid just make moyes seem like a chimp playing with his own faeces.

Had he acted with a bit more class over the summer I don't think there would be too many issues with him. And had he shared martinez's ambitious and optimistic approach in the last few years here we may have actually won something.

Bang on mate. Alot of commentators/pundits cannot seem to grasp this simple fact. Personally, I wished him well at Man U until his DISGRACEFUL comments about Everton shouldn't hold back the careers of Fellaini and Baines. That was outrageous.

Having said all that, I don't spend much time on Moyes related themes. He has nothing to do with our club any more. He has moved on...and so have I. How others conduct themselves re OFM, is up to them.

Deulofeu is brilliant and I cannot wait for him to return to the EFC. his contribution will be vital to our fortunes. He can do things to to defences that few others can.

I'll just say that every time I've watched Bobby in a press conference I've just had one thing sprinting through my head, "Oh my God, we're gonna be so boss!"

Bobby said we'd potentially make champions league this season.
Well he's right so far :)
Few new players and keep Barkley and Baines and we just might!
Then we'll get investment!
Then we'll get really scared and need a hugely new capacity on GOT
COYB

He just called Moyes, Utd and their media lackeys "no account cnts" right there.

I really suspect he's gonna ring Moyes and threaten to bang his fit daughter if he doesn't wind his eyes in.

just a bit too vulgar for our classy Roberto.

Roberto Martinez knows the basic logic of the footbal industry.....money talks. He knows that and is aware that money may come screaming for Barkley from United or elsewhere. He is laying down a marker saying "do not come here with a 30 million bid".

I would advise fans not to get too emotionally attached to any player. They come and go. RM knows this and knows the power of the market. The simple inescapable reality is that superstar midfielders do not stay with non CL "selling clubs" long after 22 years of age. What Everton need to do to nail down Barkley is two things. Qualify for the CL and pay him well.....failing that RM knows he has an asset he can parlay for upwards of 50 million to strenghten his hand.

After what he did with £13m and some loans (ignore Kone) can you imagine what he'd do with £50m+??

Absolutely mate. I don't want Barkley to go and neither does Martinez but the logic of the market is there and the reality is that there may - not will but may - be huge offers come in. The real issue if he does go is making sure the manager has access to upwards of 50 million to go to the shops.

Play United or whoever else of the rich financially doped clubs come knocking the way Spurs very successsfully played Real Madrid....but buy much better with the proceeds. Martinez will do that.
