Maybe ur right mate, but we know bobby is big on the physiological side of things, so maybe that was in his thinking.


I do belive we will average out to were moyes did in the league , maybe even a tad lower. But we will have a better chance in cups, and when in form, will look like the best team around.

Yeah I've said countless times I'd take a drop in league position if it means winning a pot, I'll take the piss out the RS if the manage to win it but I'd have been content to finish lower than 5/6 and win the league cup this year.

I'd have biten your hand off if we come mid table but won the FA Cup and cant even mention what I was prepared to do for us to win the Europa league.

I doubt in private he thinks that today was a good plan badly executed mate. I dont think he's that daft...I certainly hope not.

I sense he's desperate to get McCarthy and Stones back and that those two will see the pace of our game increase and solve a lot of problems...it probably will too.

He is now under pressure, arguably for the first time in his career where fans are genuinely questioning his credentials.
I hope he can come through but the most telling thing for me was fans booing when leading a game.
The 'entertainment' on show is terrible. However tribal the game is, it is still a form of entertainment, especially for the Sky brigade.
At £40 a ticket it should provide value. We are horrible to watch currently. Whether that is a coaching issue or a problem somewhere in the club I don't know but it needs fixing quickly. Today was simply unacceptable. We have a very good side that is misfiring badly.
Sort it out Roberto, this is not Wigan.

I admire your faith dave i have none at all in him.
The problem is we have no width and that is not helping the best two fullbacks in the league we just bunch up in the middle of the park.
Stones and mccarthy will benefit us but until we change the tactics and system we are going to be struggling.

When he first took over he did say he would sooner lose heavily and play to his system than win a scrappy 1-0. When your team is low on confidence at this level you need to just get a few wins no matter the performance. He can stick to his philosophy nonsense all he likes but if results and indeed performances do not improve he will be facing the boot.

Obviously if we win the Europa League or even the FA Cup we'll all be made up, but the way the team is playing there's absolutely no chance of that happening. Do you really think top European teams would be unable to beat us when the likes of Swansea, Crystal Palace and Southampton put three goals past us? Today wasn't an isolated poor performance or a loss because of an individual's mistake; we were outplayed, outfought and out-thought by a Southampton team in the middle of a bad run and missing several key players..

The fact is he should be able to mix his philosophy with grinding out a result,that's what separates the good,the bad,and the exceptional

After Monday I'd hoped he'd seen the light with Barkley, but he then shift's him into no man's land on the left to get Barry in.

I'm telling you now, play Barkley in the centre deeper role a la QPR for 6 games and he will show exactly what the hype is about.

He's got Red Rum there, and he's taking him for donkey rides on the beach, and I have no idea why.
