Deepest pair of cup runs since the early 80's.
Which I'm not turning my nose up at.

However, even more so than last year with the Europa which had a lot of travelling and a degree of the unknown, with our sqaud we should be able to juggle a good domestic cup run with a decent position in the league. Injuries played havoc earlier in the season, especially in the defence, but with most of the squad back we should be able to handle both the FA cup and the league.

I agree LL, I just don't think anyone is crediting the best pair of cup runs we've had in like 32 years.

Our awful history in the league cup makes it even more surprising!

Don't think the Europa league run got much credit either though, given Martinez had no experience in it thought we did very well. But it is somewhat the nature of cup runs that unless you win, or at least get to the final, they don't count as much as the bread and butter results in the league.

Cup runs don't count for crap unless you win them though. That's the only thing I'm gonna say negative today.
Beating United in the penno shoot out, is oddly an Everton highlight for me.
The final was an anti climax.

Evertonians do Wembley days out very well.

That shootout was incredible scenes with me jumping around my apartment yelling at the top of my lungs. My girlfriend was slightly pissed off at me for waking her...it was still early here.

Me too, it was 6am when it finished I think. Awful game against a poor United team though. This forum would be in meltdown over not playing beautiful football despite making a final.
