If you cant say I'm right on this you're being unreasonable and we'll have to agree to disagree. That's as fair as I can be.
Anyway: nice win tomorrow, two week break for RM and the team in the sun, back home to crack on and get to Wembley and the top half. That'll pretty much seal the deal.
No, not according to most on here, because the cups mean nothing...remember?This we agree on, anything but Victory tomorrow is unthinkable.
It was NEVER our goal under Judas. Ha Ha. The revisionism here is beyond belief.
As for the 'brightest young talents in Europe'...maybe you can remind us how they BECAME the brightest young talents in European football. I'm pretty sure it had a lot to do with El Conquistador.
Europa League is a realistic target. Yes. Hey, he got us that didn't he?
'Cant manage a top team' and yet set our PL record points total. Erm, yeah ok.
Pfffft!

'Something Moyes did quite regular' - a final and a SF (which dont count as far as you're concerned!) in 11 years. Well in Moyesie.
'We played much better under Moyes'. FFS, I wished you put that at the beginning to let me know this was a wind up.
Well obvioulsy. One SF against United's reserves we won on pens.I'm abstaining from this thread but can I just point out it was a final and two semi finals.

Lol.
3 Semi finals.
Everybody, me included sometimes, forgets the Chelsea Semi.
Where we finished with Moyes was about the right position. PL finishes weren't the issue. The issues with Moyes was the lack of boldness in cup football (cowardice to give it its proper description) and the dull agricultural muck he served up and presented as 'football'.
If Martinez gets roughly where Moyes got us and makes a good fist of the cups whilst offering this brand of football - which is where we're not too far off, btw - it's job done. And that'll be the case for as long as any Everton manager is under funded relative what's required for sustained success.

It is a fair comment about 'job done'. Allowing for inflation and the fact that other teams never at the races when Moyes was here are spending fortunes on players we are spending about what we always did. So doing exactly what Moyes did but also providing pleasing football does represent a good return...and it'll be better results wise next season with someone like Begovic giving us a commanding presence in the box.How is it job done?
If he spends a load of wedge and only achieves what Moyes did, then he has not done as well as Moyes who did it with virtually no funding... and if Moyes was a failure.... Martinez is therefore...... what?
I appreciate that the intricate play in the middle third is very pleasing on the eye and some of the attacking play we produce is aesthetically very nice and if we abandon our defence altogether then our attack is really strong, but that doesn't make him a success.. just a little bit naïve.
He needs to wake up, take responsibility for where we are, from where we were, and ignore the people like you who would have us crawling around the floor trying to find a point here and there, or a stat that could justify another defeat, and realise that actually if we just play normal football, like normal teams.. we are better than most. (due in no small part to the positive work he has done at this club so far).
Hence the results increase when we did a little defending post Christmas. Our attack was a little more subdued, but we got some points.. whoop whoop.. who'd of guessed?
Lets hope this is something that sticks, if so we could do well.. otherwise we will be staying around the bottom half, occasionally popping our head up.
Moyes was here and won us the square root of f-all and did that playing the most mind numbing hoofball that was an embarrassment to the traditions of this club.It was quite often stated as the goal. Even Martinez stated it as the goal before he started to manage those expectations downwards
Agree the young lads were going nowhere until he got here. Now they're all going somewhere alright. Somewhere else
Europa league yes he got us that. Then he realised how it affected our season and hasn't gotten close since. I take it that's deliberate
Agree again. Record points total. And since then he's surpassed those 72 points. Only took him all of 2014/15 season and until Christmas this season. Upward trajectory
As pointed out Moyes made 3 sf or better and let's not forget he also got us 4th place
And pfft well that's a good response.

Martinez by getting us to play football again and showing what that can achieve points wise has achieved more for Everton in three seasons than Moyes did in 11 seasons here....and he could have been here for 11 more and we'd still be punting it long to some big feller or other - probably Crouch by now.
