Roberto Martinez is asked if there's a sense of dejection after the 4-0 defeat to Liverpool.

"I wouldn't use the word dejection," he says. "We carry hurt. We have been working for 10 months to get into that opportunity, we tried to get to Wembley in the League Cup and used that as a strong desire in the FA Cup. It's only the third time in 20 years.

quote of the season for me.

We play liverpool twice every year FFS

sort of think we have to ignore all this till after the game on saturday, not calling for support for martinez but we need to somehow try and win this semi -final...get behind the team and try and win our first trophy since 1995 for goodness sakes!

You know what's great though?

We're just over 24 hours away from one of two great things. There's no downside.

We either:

1. Win the game, get to a cup final and regardless of the outcome the fraud is gone at the end of the season.

2. We lose the game, and the fraud is gone within a few hours.

So in that regard, I'm strangely happy and not nervous about the semi-final.

I wish he was on this forum Neil because I would have him stepping down within 5 minutes. Don't worry mate, no matter how bad things seem we will all be supporting Everton tomorrow and praying that we can get a win. I think it's more about having a bit of banter to lighten the mood and he certainly gives everyone enough ammo to rip into him.

He says: "You need to look at many situations that we have turned moods around.

That has never happened. Literally, we have never done that in 3 years.

"Since the quarter-final against Chelsea the results [in the league] have not been good enough and that's something we will look at next week. At the moment everything's about being together in the FA Cup semi-final and facing adversity in an exemplary way

using the whole quote here, Notice how he is not even admitting how bad the result was for us? Its almost like he is it wasnt good, but wembly wembly, we are going to wembley.

"We have had blows and reacted in a good manner. We had that against West Ham and bounced straight back in the quarter-final. It's how you react in the low moments. "

We lost west ham after beating villa the week before. Since chelsea we have lost and drew every game since. That isn't reacting to blows.

He said: "Knowing Phil he is desperate to play but we are not going to say no and we are going to [look at] his feelings rather than the injury."

not too sure what to say about this, his injury is kind of the important thing here, not if he is happy or not

oberto Martinez is in position at Everton. First of all he's asked if he'll take any further action against defender Ramiro Funes Mori after his red card in the Merseyside derby.

terrible journalism, why would we take more action against him?

Pretend I'm Martinez, how would you go about getting him to step down using words on a forum?

Away you go.

You have to admire his balls and how hard faced he was when that interviewer asked " How do you feel when the majority of fans don't want to lead the team out tomorrow? "

His reply " Well, how many of them fans have managed a team to win the FA cup? I can tell you, it's none!!! "

He knows how to upset people, I'll give him that

I've won the FA Cup loads of times on Football Manager.

At this point, that's just as relevant to doing the job as him winning it at Wigan.

Ah, but does Joe Royle want him to, though? o_O
