I know there a few threads going around about which players we want this summer, but i want to know, who is the right back (the position we seem to lack in) that you would bring in keeping in mind our budget.

The only ones I can really think of our Brown and Johnson and even there not that realistic. Lets be honest we all know Neville will be our right back/captain/centre midfielder for atleast another 2 years.

justin hoyte from arsenal was being talked about not too long ago. he seems to have gone off the boil a bit now though.

I can't think of any right back that is either better than what we've got or would be an improvement to our squad.I feel sorry for Tony Hibbert, whilst he's not the best right back in the country he's constantly exposed down the right and therefore the opposition try to exploit that.Arteta does'nt work back to help him nearly enough as he should do, instead he's relying on Yobo or Jagielka to come across to help in the wrong area of the field, basically the final third.

Vim i think thats a little harsh on arteta, he's not had the best of seasons but he works really hard on tracking back.an does well at it.

The real problam is hibberts positional play, sometimes he's like a kid on a school yard. the ball from right to left does him every time. But saying that he's not let us down to many times this season.

I don't think it's harsh at all Sharpy, i'm not blaming Arteta as i think the position of wide right is physically too demanding for him and he should be moved into a central position to display his craft, no, it's just an observation the the right side of our team is not as strong as it should be, and as a result, both players are suffering.

Ryan Taylor- we bid for him befroe!

I think he would be a good signing. he's a local lad as well and a close friend of Baines. I would like to see this Gosling lad though. What bothers me about all this, no question we need a new strong right back, but where will he play Neville? Personally i dont think he does a good enough in midfield and we all know that Moyes is relcutant to drop him

Apparently we are after Romanian right back Cosmin Contra , no, I've never heard of him either.

He's 32, and according to Wikipedia likely to return to Romania; so it seems like a non-starter to me unless he's available on a free. He is an 'attacking full back' which sounds good to me, and scored a vital last minute equaliser last Thursday against Bayern, which is one more goal than Hibbert's ever scored for us !

Id take Ryan Taylor but as already posted there has to be a place for Neville(why?)so he dose less damage at full back(y)

to b honesty not sure if chimbonda is a left or right back but if he were right i think he would add an attacking edge to oue defence and by no means the worse defender you have seen either

His attitude reeks, DM wouldn't touch him with a shitty stick.
