Return of fans to stadiums to be controlled by Ballot

Everton and Liverpool are the only clubs to insist fans eligible live in a certain city.

Absolutely ridiculous
It’s not ridiculous or unfair. As I said earlier not everyone will be happy (clearly). But the club have made a decision that they believe to be safe and sensible. I’ll support them in that even if it means me not getting to a game. Increasing capacity will come as the situation improves in other areas as well as LCR. I couldn’t care less what other clubs are doing.

I don't know. That seems like how it should be in my opinion. People shouldn't be travelling all over to see a game in my opinion. But I understand their are some people who probably just miss out on something that is very arbitrary.

I'm just going off my experience in the states that has just been embarrassing in all this. Some states allow fans at sporting events others don't. My state NY, doesn't allow any fans at anything, and requires a quarantine or a couple negative tests if you go to almost any other state. Something no one listens to

But you could drive 4 hours earlier this year and attend events in Pittsburgh or Cleveland. Cleveland required a quarantine. But people don't respect it. I know cleveland sports fans in NY that are ST holders. They're going to a place that was hotter than here, coming back. Going to work, public functions. It's just a mess.

So I understand the frustration, but as someone who has been on the flipside of it. I respect the clubs for making that decision.

It sucks but seems like the right move. Somethings are just more important.

I wonder this, I know 2 with very high credit rate and they missed out and got the application in early too, so neither of those circumstances helped.
I don’t know lads. If it’s a ballot there shouldn’t be any criteria that favours certain fans. They may possibly allocate a % to youngsters, over 65/ people requiring assistance etc. But credit ratings and getting your application in early should be completely irrelevant. I’m not going anyway:(.

Missed out on Chelsea, just done my applications for the other games. Well done to whoever was successful!

Yeah this isn't for me. I've absolutely no interest in sitting in a deserted Goodison with no mates around me, a mask on all game and no ale. Good luck to anyone who wants to go, I hope you get a ticket and enjoy the match as it'll certainly be a unique experience but its not one that interests me. When I finally do get back to the old lady I want it to be for a proper out day at the match, until then I'd sooner just have the money.
Happy birthday have a nice safe day ......

I think for the bigger the game more people will enter the ballot.

Of course it's potentially a bit of a game of cat and mouse as if you get one game, you can't enter for another. People will hold off to get the United game etc.

Lots won't enter it at all who have no interest in going yet for various reasons.

I'll be entering for every game until I'm successful mind.

It's going to be around 1 in 5 chance but that will fluctuate depending on how many enter/how many have already had a game.
