Remember this point of the season.

Yeah imagine winning 21 games out 38 in one season and setting records for attacking football...all from sideways passing.

Hopeless analysis.

Best counterattacking seen at this club for years.

Now we have some dullard even worse than the other two dullards Koeman and Moyes.
[...] last two seasons [...]

Martinez started the rot by having a very decent squad flapping around in the bottom half and our 4 best players itching to leave as a result. Koeman accelerated the process by being genuinely clueless and flushing the biggest warchest we've ever had in a single transfer window down the toilet. Steve Walsh can also be held accountable for not having any sort of list of targets lined up outside of a few kids for the under 23s that are probably never going to amount to anything. This situation is not the fault of any one individual, especially not Sam Allardyce.

Yesterday’s result and performance should be remembered by every fan over the coming weeks and months.

I say this because as low as we all feel right now and no matter what happens results wise between now and the end of the season, the board of Everton football club should be reminded that Fat Sam is NOT here any longer than the last game of the season.

What he said yesterday in his pre match interview was way back to the days of Moyes taking a knife to a gunfight. He said “if we get a point here today that is a good result” I’m sorry but I want my team to win no matter who we play.

Some people have mentioned on here about bad Martinez was and he did have massive flaws, however he did get us going toe to toe with most teams we played (can you imagine a fat Sam team going to Wolfsburg and winning 3 - 0 )

My worry is the more we spend in this window means one thing he is here next season.

THIS CANNOT HAPPEN
Revisionist.
Martinez had us going toe to toe twice
Once Vs Moyeses United, where many did well.
Once Vs arsenal on one of their we dont like it north of watford days...though tbf, we were good that day - once

I'll just put this out there...

There seems to be a lot of VERY confident talk that BFS will definitely not be our manager next season. There's a difference between an opinion that he should go and stating he will. It's the latter that I'm referring to. Is there any evidence for this?

I know folk are fed up and dislike his style (me included) but is it really wise to repeat the received wisdom that our board will get shut and appoint a super managet befitting our status?

Basically I'm saying there may be some fume over the summer. This is our board we're talking about.

Martinez took a team that had finished 6th, was literally given Lukaku (Chelsea offered him to us), and finished 5th. Hardly a miracle.

I dont. I remain grateful that we have Allardyce rather than Koeman who was a disgrace. At least with SA you know where you stand: he's hopeless and everyone recognises that and he himself doesn't pretend (like Koeman) that he's a great manager.

I blame only one person: that beaut Moshiri.

Hmmmm, didn't he once claim to belong at Real Madrid or Inter Milan?

Samuel Allardici! :D

We’ve been rubbish since Moyes left basically. Barring 9 months with Martinez as he had Moyes’ defence disguising his deficiencies.

Which of course is the 100% correct answer in all of these debates.

Apart from 3 months also last season from Jan to March when Rom was slotting for fun and Barkley didn't look like a clueless gimp running around in circles for a change.

Your last sentence hits the nail on the head. I wouldn't trust the charlatans in charge to run a pee up in a brewery - Moshiri included. No trophies in what will be 23 years this May.....semi finals dont count as success imo...dark times indeed.

Three seasons here: best PL season we've known + two SFs in the cups.

Savour that because we wont be experiencing a repeat for a long long time.

And in the sophomore season, we cut a swathe through Europe and had the grioup wrapped up before the final game.

This season were out before the final game.

Everton 2013 through 2016.....Already resembling a lost golden era.
