That last gasp point will be a big blow to Burnley mentally(hopefully) as they where sat that thinking a win tomorrow(today now) and we are out the bottom 3. Now they need a win and draw to get out the bottom 3. Should they lose the next 2 that gives us 4 games to get extra points away. Just hope they get beat tonight
I didn’t realise their home record was so poor, won just 3 in 25. Sadly one of the three was the other day against us ? Anyway surely Southampton have some sort of chance this evening. Even a draw would be a decent result

Indeed and you would have to wonder were that confidence comes from for a group of supporters who have only seen their team win 4 games all season, one of which was a gift from us and have just sacked the only Manager that has done anything of note for them in the past couple of decades.

Watch the gits go an a winning run now ffs. Nah they are proper crap tbh.
My mate is a Tranmere fan and he said that Jackson feller who is in charge at Burnley now managed them for a bit and was out of his depth with them. So hopefully this is borne out.

Just looking at the 97/98 season, with 3 games to go we were 5 points above Bolton, we lost the next two and they won the next two which meant we started last game on 39 points, Bolton on 40. As we all know we stayed up by the skin of our teeth.

It does show though, if a team down the bottom can put even two wins together it completely changes the scenario. I still say our beat chance to do it are Watford, Brentford, Palace games. But it is long, long overdue us putting any sort of unbeaten run together.

Burnley have to win tonight. Nothing else will do.

Wolves wont be troubled by them, and then they'd have 25 or 26 points with 5 matches to play.

Points on the board is all that matters. All the talk about easy and hard fixtures means almost nothing at this time of the season. We have the points and they dont.

Ball is in their court.

After the Burnley game if you’d have offered Everton to get 4 points from United and Leicester and Burnley to get 1 from Norwich and West Ham, and incur a crippling injury to a key player….every single fan would have taken that.

That season it was the draws in our run in that got us into most trouble: 4 draws in the last 7 games.

This team (apart from that game last night) seemingly dont do draws. We either win or lose. Burnley have the highest number of draws in the PL with 13 drawn, and I'd bet they'll add a few more before the end of the season. It could be the telling factor.

Absolutely.

We can take on decent teams and get results. If I was a Burnley fan I'd be aware of that when thinking that Everton v Chelsea or Liverpool or Arsenal are in their favour.

I think we can get 3 points somewhere from those three games and I'm pretty sure we'll get 6/8 points from the other 4.

That has to be too rich for Burnley.
