Burnley fans seem extremely confident we'll be in the relegation zone come Sunday afternoon.

Praying for Southampton to do us a favour tomorrow.
Indeed and you would have to wonder were that confidence comes from for a group of supporters who have only seen their team win 4 games all season, one of which was a gift from us and have just sacked the only Manager that has done anything of note for them in the past couple of decades.

Watch the gits go an a winning run now ffs. Nah they are proper crap tbh.

Do some people here seriously think that we are going to get a point against the RS away? We have got the worst away record in the league. Even Norwich have got more points away than us away. Honestly, the only way we get a point is if the RS basically have their worst game of the season and we have our best. I will be surprised if it ends up anything less than about 5 - 0. We have been absolute dog poo away from home all season.

Gonna need to hope that Burnley have a poorer run of results than us i think.
No. Burnley have to hope we have a poorer run of results than them. If we match them they go down.

We'll get our points from Brentford, Palace, Watford, Leicester(A), and Chelsea.

Cant see a point against the smackheads or Arsenal in their last home game of the season.

Minimum we'll get from those 5 games = 5/6 (34/35)
More likely from those 5 games = 7/8 (36/37)

People saying Burnley are going to win 3 or 4 games, have you watched them? They're so, so poor and now have lost a huge character in Westwood and also crazily sacked their manager who was their best asset. They'll be lucky to get 6 or 7, never mind 10. 30-32 points surely won't be enough.

So depressing we're even having conversations like this but barring us going on a mad losing run I don't see them getting then staying above us.

We could play relatively well and be 2-0 down after 20 minutes. They are so clinical they'll only need two chances and our defence will gift those to them.

There isn't one thing our players do better than theirs which you could cling to as a cause for optimism
You;re absolutley correct, and it'll almost certainly be a Liverpool win....but this is a derby and if they dont get a couple ahead by the last few minutes of the game then anything can happen.

The most common result in this fixture is and always will be a draw. Worth remembering.

If they cant beat S'tn at home then I couldn't make a case for them staying up.

Yeah because this Liverpool team are known to crack under pressure. lol

They never have the opportunity as their forwards either put 4 past a team or the refs/poor opposition finishing bails them out.

I think they bottled the Goodison Derby the year they lost the title to City in the 0-0.

If City come away with 3 points Saturday they'll be the ones needing a win not us (a free hit game).

Lampard just needs to get his team selection / tactics right and ensure we aint 2-3 goals down at Half Time.

3 in midfield with energy, Richarlison out wide, Rondon up top.

When you’re four points above the drop zone there is never a “free hit” game.

You need to go to bed.

There seems to be some people who think the season ends next week and that Burnley are about to turn into the 1970 Brazil team. Even if Burnley manage 2 wins on the bounce and we lose our next 2 games, we then hit a run of games i fancy us to get results from. Leicester away, Watford away, Brentford at home, Palace at home. Even Chelsea at home I wouldn’t rule out. Yet the same people who fear Burnley’s impending winning streak also think we’re going to lose the next seven games.
We are far from clear, but I would much rather be in our position than Burnley’s at the moment.

Realistically, it's in Burnley's hands now.
With their next four fixtures they may well be out of sight by our next chance of a point.

Southampton - bit Jekyll and Hyde, can ship 6 to Chelsea but then beat Arsenal

Wolves - challenging for Europe

Watford - in same boat so will be scrappy

Villa - see Southampton

Not to mention they don’t have a manager to motivate them

Im going to say we'll beat Liverpool just to see some heads fall off in here

Chin up...anything can happen in football.

Wouldn't want to be in the trenches with some of this lot.

They shipped 3 goals at Anfield to Benfica and only beat Watford/Brighton 2-0 when both of those sides were in the game for large portions - they aint unbeatable by any stretch.

Peeps have seen them turn over a gash Utd side who didnt look arsed and are worrying they'll hammer us.

If they beat us it'll be a much closer game than many on here are expecting imo.
