Relegation is the by-product of when anger turns in to apathy and that line was crossed a while ago if you've actually read the room.
Apathy was drummed into the fans by a board whose standards were to just be in the league. A club like Everton, who at the dawn of the Premier League was a recent title winner, had one of the best stadiums in the country.

Our board have run the club since 92 like an old boys football club. Others put serious business people in, invested in their infrastructure. We have stood still for nearly three decades. If anything I’m surprised relegation has taken this long.

To much bed wetting today.
The match was dire and we looked awful.
But we did the same against a relegation rival Burnley last season and look where we ended up.
Im not optimistic but i dont think we are desd and buried yet. Still points to be had and equally dreadful teams around us who are shot of confidence.
The mood here has changed from 'our safety is almost secure' to 'we've definitely had it now' after today's result. It was always going to be a rollercoaster ride from January onwards when Dyche came in and we failed to strengthen the squad, and that is proving to be the case.

Our chances of staying up are probably about 50-50 which many would have taken a few months ago when it looked like we were going to be relegated before the end of March. Sometimes it's only when you are really up against it that it brings out the best in you. There are still enough games left to turn this around, we have done it before and we can do it again. Now is when the support of the fans is needed the most, so we need to get behind the players until it is mathematically impossible.

It will go to the last day but I still think we will do it - just about. Then when the situation is clear, anger must be directed towards those responsible for getting us in this mess in the first place.

Bang on mate

If not this season, it will happen next. The hole Bill and his posse has dug is too deep. Look at this squad. It’s made up of a bunch of misfits from previous sacked managers and scraps from clubs who got relegated. And in the ffp trouble we are in and it may look even worse. It’s sad to say but it may take years for us to recover as a club. Wouldn’t be surprised to see us in the championship for a long time. This isn’t ever going to be better unless Bill steps down and we can new ownership who has even the slightest clue how to go about running a football club.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens if we get relegated. If we manage to stay up, the board will throw Dyche under the bus, maybe a few players along with him and then sign a new manager to stir up a bit of enthusiasm amongst the fan base. Rinse and repeat.

Today was absolute toothless [Poor language removed]. We needed Seamus to give us some steel and Onana to give us some class and maybe someday maybe DCL will return before we sell him. We need some inspiration to stayup.
Sell him to who ?
We already own him, so we can't buy him again....

if we go down then next season's team will probably be something like this

---------------new GK probably 40 year old ben foster-----------

Patterson--------Godfrey----------Branthwaite----------Nkounkou

---------------------Garner-------Tom Davies (new 5 year contract) ------------

McNeil -----------------------------------------------------------------------Dobbin

--------------------------------Simms----------Cannon--------------------------------------

This time next year we will be fighting to avoid the drop to League 1 with that line up.

Though your striking partnership might not materialise.

Ashley Ward is out of contract at Burnley at the end of the season 😞

This would be the case with any club though, It's not like it's just us. I've personally never looked at other clubs forums but I'm pretty sure you would find the same reaction in Saints, Leicester, Forest, and even Leeds if you looked in them. The likes of Bournemouth and wolves would have only just picked up recently.

And yes we do massively need the fanbase if were gonna do it, but have the fanbase still got in them what they did last year, after yet another year of turmoil on and off the pitch. I just don't know unless they can wipe the Dark cloud ( that is the board and FFP ) from hovering over them.

Remember one thing, fans need to see 'heart' on the pitch and they will give it back in droves...
( We had Richarlison last year who wore his heart on his sleeve )

Yep. Only the bottom three teams get relegated. We are currently not one of the bottom three. We are in the mix, but it's far from inevitible

Agree with this - even if we find three worse teams than us this season we’ll be in the same boat next season. No money to improve a dreadful squad and a recruitment team that managed to pick out maupay as our main attacking reinforcement doesn’t inspire confidence one bit.
