If the window was open now im sure they would probably be looking at a CB for sure, given Gmblammos injury and the possible reliability of Delph maybe a midfielder. Neither would be cheap.

I doubt they would be looking at a Striker tho.

I think both are reasonably happy with the job DCL does and Kean needs games and Tosun has very recently shown he knows where the net is.

But who knows what will happen in the next 2 months.

Gmblammo could get fit and cement a place, Delph could stay healthy, young TomTom could kick on.

Gibson could get a chance and show his quality.

My only point is that 2months is a long time in football, its enough time for somebody to make themselves a hero and more than enough time for them to become Everton enemy number 1.

I want Kean to play every single minute hes able, hes a very, very talented boy who just needs a goal and to find his feet.
Im happy with what DCL brings to the team.

Yep as much as I wanted Docoure/Zaha I would 100% sacrifice bringing one of them in if it meant us throwing big money at a top striker to rotate with Kean who imo isnt ready just yet.

I keep banging the drum but we massively missed the boat on Haller - he will be another Payet minus being a disruptive bell.

Imagine the crosses from Digne and Gylfi landing on the lads bonce he would have scored a hatful here.

Interesting what about that very young England forward who scored, similar age, he obviously ready.

He leads the line very well, runs the channels, makes space for others, he has enough pace to stretch teams.

I dont wanna be that guy, but theres a reason every manager we have had in the last 2 years has played him in the team, he does a very good job for the team.

Not a poor summer window ,but not as good as it could have been and not as good as Brands first.
I cant see Brands spending in January unless a player already on his list becomes available at a price he is willing to pay.
He ha stated previously that he does not like buying in January

Maybe not a brilliant window. Were his hands tied? Obviously he had to shift a lot out too. Moving forward I doubt he will ever need to get rid of 25 players in 2 windows again.

I think we will buy a CB or loan one in Jan. As fir the striking positions, that’s a really tricky one. Would could have gone for haller, who to be fair was probably the best we could have got.

Newcastle paid 40 for Joelinton, Wesley did well against us, but can you see him getting more than 10 goals, what did he cost 30?

basically there wasn’t much out there and could we attract a Dembele from Lyon? Who would probably want 60mil of an English club or a Werner for the same price, who again wouldn’t come to us. So Brands has had to gamble and decided the best bet was 19yr old Italian with huge potential.

Spurs 2/3 yrs ago would never have got a Ndombele, now they can. And that’s what we need to build towards. So in a few years we don’t have to gamble on 30mil pound strikers, we can attract a 60/70mil one.

If Zaha is available for the right money would you buy him??
Euro finals coming up in June so players on the fringes of squads will be looking for game time so loans may be possible.
Umtiti as a CB on loan ?
There is probably an international CF out there not getting much game time who would come on loan to rotate with Kean and improve his own chances of getting picked for his country

Even Silva said this with the continued pursuit of Zouma
If we needed a Zaha type and a Doucoure type in August surely we need them now (although Iwobi may be the Zaha type)

I rate Kean highly and think he will be a major success ,but he is only 19
