Homepage Update: Reflections on Koeman

Unfair to lump Unsworth in with those whoppers Koeman & Allardyce. He stepped in at an impossible time, tried his best for the club and attempted to play attacking football.
And he was never 100% backed by the club but left lingering as caretaker manager whilst our worst elements (looking at the likes of shcnakelin and Mirallas) acted like petulant school kids. He'll always have my backing as he did the best he could in a very difficult time, which is something our motto requests.

Back to horrible Koeman though. In those first few games, he seemed to be ahead of the game and make substitutions that worked. In retrospect, some of those were lucky, and perhaps oppositions just worked out what we would do in certain situations and prepared for them after seeing what we were about. Other than that, should have realized when he didn't come off holiday to get stuck in that he wasn't the man for the job. Or when he treated Niasse like a pariah, or when he had red Christmas decs, or never said we, or ... actually so many red flags, you'd think it was the kop end celebrating a league title in November.

At least we annoyed Southampton at the time we took him.
