Don't think we'll quite get that many goals with Everton tonight but here's hoping. Second half with all the changes was very low tempo but finally got to see Maksimovic which was nice.

First friendly back in the stadium, first friendly against elite opposition in Atalanta. Both Sesko and Xavi have been omitted from the squad whilst they await their transfers so it's good to see the team play without them - and shine a light on how much an upgrade on Baumgartner is required. Fingers crossed their deals happen ASAP so next week the replacements lined up can be sorted. Should be a really tough game and not expecting a rout like the last two.

Game ended with defeat after two late Atalanta goals of decent quality. Result doesn't matter as the game went pretty dead after 65 mins when Atalanta swapped out their full XI - decent fitness and Leipzig dominated throughout whilst being wasteful. Lots of minutes for everyone (all games have had two full teams per half) and it showed where the squad needs strengthening before the season starts. Need a Sesko replacement (Romulo), a top quality 6 (Gomes), a Xavi replacement (?) and possibly another right-sided centre half.
Weird seeing Ben Godfrey playing as well; almost injured someone 2 mins after coming on too the massive dope.

Annoyed he chose United over Newcastle but least that maybe keeps Isak from them lot. Least now he's gone Leipzig can trigger their next 2-3 transfers with the money.

Sadly as I suck and don't know how VPN's work I can't watch today's final pre-season game against Lens (geo-locked YT stream). We did, however, play them earlier today with a "B team" and won 3-0 so that's promising. Will just have to scour the Internet for streams/update. Xavi starts in the official match with his move to Chelsea no closer.

RBL Transfers
Looks like finally, after about 10 weeks, Romulo is on his way now that Sesko is gone. Fee reported is €20m + €5m which isn't bad at all really for a backup striker. Looks pretty flash on YouTube but can't say I'm ever confident about signing a striker from Turkey. Was a strong rumour that Fabio Silva (Wolves dud) was coming instead yesterday so thankfully/hopefully that was just a bit of pressure and swiftly disappears.
Just need to boot out Xavi, sign his replacement (Elliot?) and then hopefully Marlon Gomes then bosh, squad is complete.
