More squad filler, wouldn't be a first team player at all. Really can't see him being good if I'm honest.

To put it in perspective, Sky Sports scouting thing they do has Jose Baxter currently worth more and with greater potential than Elm.

Daily Mail is now suggesting we're very close to this one. Far more excited in him than Naughton. Even better if we get both.

Didn't Round say that we're trying to get players we've been trying to sign 2 or so seasons ago. I heard we've been tracking Elm a long time.

Rasmus said he wants to leave Kalmar because their badge looks like a pair of underpants.

Everton boss David Moyes is interested in Rasmus Elm

Everton hope to fend off interest from PSV Eindhoven, Ajax and Fulham for Sweden U21 midfielder Rasmus Elm.

The midfielder from Kamarr FF was shown round Everton on Friday with his mother, his girlfriend and his adviser Carl Fhager.
Fhager said: 'Everton are one of several clubs interested but it is far from the only option.'

I hate anything being announced in the media before they sign. You almost know Hijack Harry or somebody else will come along and try to sign them up ahead of us.

Everton are in pole position to sign Swedish star Rasmus Elm after he visited the club, skysports.com understands.

revealed over the weekend that Everton had made an approach for the highly-rated midfielder.

The 21-year-old impressed during last month's European Under 21 Championship and he has broken into the senior set-up this year, winning six caps to date.

A number of clubs are chasing the set-piece specialist, but Everton are leading the hunt for Elm after inviting the player over to Merseyside.

Elm's representative, Patrick Mork, has admitted the player would be interested in a move to Everton and the Premier League.

"For sure Everton is an interesting option for Rasmus," Mork told skysports.com.

"Everton asked him to visit the club last Friday and everything was positive at Everton.

"Of course it would be interesting for Rasmus to play in England, but he has a lot of options.

"There has been a lot of interest in Rasmus and he also has other options in England.

"Rasmus is regarded as one of the best players in Sweden in the last 20 years - that is his reputation.

"He is a special player and he has a big decision to make."
