RANGERS

Sauchiehall St is dead now since the fire at the Art School. Half of it is closed off and businesses have had to close down.
Let's be honest, there are far better areas in Glasgow city centre than Sauchiehall St. The Merchant City is a 5 min walk from George Sq. and pubs like The Horseshoe, Pot Still, Shilling Brewery Co., Waxy's, Sloans, The Raven and loads more are no more than a ten min walk from Central Station.

Used to work at the Brunswick for about 2 and a bit of those mentioned 5 years as well...
Most of those bars are great though, sound advice.

Both clubs have some very horrible people following them. Two massive clubs mind. I’ve always preferred Rangers over Celtic, purely because I’m not catholic. I have catholic in my family, and my grandad prefers Celtic for that reason alone. With the signing of Defoe I think Rangers can go on and win the title. I’ve always liked Aberdeen the most tbf.

Yeah, it's a real shame that Celtic and Rangers have cornered the market in having some horrible people following them. What is the secret of the English clubs who have scrupulously avoided having any horrible people support them?

Rangers ill-discipline will finish them off I think. They've got some absolutely top pro's on the team, but then you have Arfield, and Morelos who literally get a rush of blood to the head at least once a game. They'll blow it.

In fairness to them, it must help when you have actual supporters like John Beaton officiating at their games. He allowed Morelos to kick opponents in the General De Gaulle's, and stamp on an opposition player, without even so much as a word with in his ear.

Brown isn't technically gifted whatsoever.
That's why he never pushed himself by trying English football.
Bit like Barry Ferguson of rangers who did try at least and failed.
I know wee Baz could play a bit ,but both those captains brought something to the table other than footballing skills or in Brooners case lack of.

Didn't Ferguson get a really bad injury down there, maybe a broken knee?

I'm not one for regularly complimenting Rangers players, but Barry Ferguson was an excellent player. Iirc, bossed the game at Wembley in which Scotland beat England 1 - 0, with Don Hutchison scoring the goal.

You still like rangers after they wrecked your place back in the day?
I spoke to a villa fan about that game and he said it was the worst ever and he went everywhere with villa.

I did say he could play a bit
But as an aberdeen follower .....I hate him .

I'm Catholic but don't feel any affinity for either, they are definitely some Catholics who support Rangers. For me both clubs are as bad as one another, racial and religious hatred should have no place in sport whatsoever.

I was up in Glasgow a few years ago for a Ricky Burns fight and ended up drinking in was loyalist pub (didn't realise that when we first walked in). Locals asked what we'd come up for and when we said to watch the boxing they said "I hope that Burns dies, the fenian (t-word)." Knocked me ill to be honest.

I would have to disagree with you there.
