We borrowed 22 million last month to pay for the energy companies discounts......why not just nationalise them with that money?

On the ITV news Hydogen boilers in the future burning coal fire statiions to supply the stream - BANG - good luck with that time book instead of Gas boilers....

It's madness......
Just to keep the green madness going ......
I don’t think you can really call it green madness. Finding viable options is proving difficult, but the rationale behind it is the right one.

If we could all move to cheap renewable energy and efficient and not costly heating using air or ground pumps, most would probably do so.

But it ain’t always cheap.

The government carried out the most expensive things on our railways maintenance the private companies just run the franchise......

I hardly use it, have little idea how it all fits together, but even so, £22 million is peanuts mate. I have a few mates who have/have sold businesses in that ball park.

This is using Coal fired power stations to create the steam nitrogen supply on ITV news pm ...
Certain households in Yourkshire are trying it as a pilot scheme with no say in the matter we all know how hydrogen worked well on the Zeppelin......
Hydrogen boliers in stead of gas ....
May as well fetch steam trains back if it's a green .....

22 million borrowed in 4 weeks .....

I think you are getting confused with the record Govt borrowing last month of £22 Billion mate. Thats to pay for stuff already bought/committed. The UK credit card if you like. Its not borrowing to do new stuff really.

Yes Joey, there have been no advances in hydrogen technology in 80 years.

You can expect your air source heat pump system to cost £1,600 to around £14,000 and for a ground source heat pump £2,000-£20,000, depending on size and brand.

Biomass boilers range from £11,000 to £25,000.

And its a firm no from me.

It's up from last November the feul subsidy is the reason given ....

Why not hydrogen cars then instead of electric which power stations have to produce - hydrogen trains would go down like a bomb too....lol

There are hydrogen cars Joey.

And of course, trains.

A good air source heat pump (I ordered a Mitsubishi Zubadan 11,2kwh in November) realistically costs around 15k installion included. Some brands are even more expensive (NIBE), others a bit cheaper (Daikin, I would avoid them).
Ground source isn't worth the extra bother. You'll easily pay more than 8000 for drilling the holes alone. And if you have a cold winter, your heatsource might have cooled. Your coefficient of performance is also, at best, one point better.

Don't buy if you don't have floor heating.

At worst we'll be better off 1200 a year. At best 2100. Lifetime estimate of the system is 20 years. You get a (very japanese) 5 year garantuee... Long live the green madness :)
