Raheem Sterling's Gun Tattoo

Amazing to me that some people think they can tell another what to do with their body.

I'd never get a tattoo of any sort, but everyone else entitled to do what they want with their skin. Couldn't think of much that impacts me less.

I just think there has to be like the story about the young lad at city that bought an expensive house , who strangely was also black .

The media hate him , the twitter list of stories is scary really and although I think back to when he lived in the city and he may or may not have issues he doesn’t deserve the hammering he’s getting .

It seems odd that Moreno from the RS has a tatt of monkey with a gun but the media seem ok about it , weird.

Edit : this is a headline on a report of the Moreno tattoo

“Alberto Moreno's new primate tattoo is fantastically random”

To be fair to Moreno, his dad was shot by a monkey with a handgun, wearing a sharp suit and specs, whilst listening to a bit of N.W.A.

So it’s okay for a high profile role model, especially for kids to tattoo a machine gun on himself - in this day and age - in this particular climate of mass shootings - right before the World Cup... ok...hey pass the bong over here pls. Its his body. I get it. But what the actual F.

What a world. I wonder if young Bob Irwins going to get that tattoo of a stingray on his face.. ITS HIS FACE YANO

That's a bit like blaming grand theft auto for gun crime, sterling is an utter beaut, but I reckon there's more social factors at play for gun crime, suits certain elements to get outraged at stuff like this, I blame marvel personally

Piers Morgan is just doing what all the tabloids do at this time i. e. Try to scupper England's confidence before the WC even starts. Next week some other player will get the treatment.

They should all be hauled off to the Tower for treason. And I'm a Scot!

I dont think anyones blaming anyone - more like condoning it which would mean youd be a hypocrit (unless you love guns).

And yes DAMN YOU STAN LEE!

Have any of the mass shooters had a tattoo of a gun on themselves?

You're not making any sense. Raheem Sterling having a gun tattooed on his leg has nothing to do with anything. Maybe because he's a role model to some you could say that he's helping make it ok to get stupid tattoos, but so is pretty much every other footballer, especially those of the South American variety.

I don't know what to tell you other than it's a tattoo. Also, if kids are doing stupid things because a footballer is, that's on their parents for not giving them perspective. Not the footballer for living a legal life and enjoying his freedoms.

You don't know that they haven't. Nobody is questioning his or anyone's freedoms either. And it's not just a gun. A pistol or glock would signify something completely different.

I like the argument purely because I think once you become a household name, making money off your 1.4 million Twitter followers and your 3.4 million Instagram sheeples you inherit a deeper responsibility in the messages that you convey. He is an athlete, entertainer and by way of being an International in the World Cup an ambassador for what that should embody.

The lad has lots of tattoos and they probably all have some significant meaning but whether he or you like it or not, he has of crossed over into the gun debate.

Okay, for arguments sake say young Raheem had suddenly become a buddist and decided to tattoo a swastika on his leg. It's an ancient symbol used by many cultures symbolically. How would you react to that?

I have two things to say in regard to your post. Firstly I would say that if you hold Raheem Sterling up as a role model for anything other than kicking a ball then your need to have a wee look at yourself.
The second is to do with irony, you post using a photograph of Big Nev. Once again have a wee look at yourself but first have a wee look at some of the things Big Nev advocates including his thoughts on the matter at hand.

Agreed. Sterling, via his patronage of Greggs and Primark, is also single handedly responsible for obesity in the UK and sweat shop Labour in developing countries. Via the medium of glamourisation. The horror.
