Hes vesrsatile as well so you could see Moyesy liking him, just dont see a signing of that type of value (financialy) this summer at the mo.

Don't know about that. Hamburg are rumoured to be bulking at the €8million asking price. Don't know how true that is though, but he'd surely be worth a shot at that price.

The situation with him reminds me a lot of Lassana Diarra, the way they're both really good players but kept on being sold for so cheap and no one really going in for them. I think we'd easily have a chance to sign him if we put in a bid, unless we got outbid by another club - but at the moment no one is in for him.

Think you're right in this. Would love them both at Everton tbh. Van der Vaart is is a versatile, level headed and down to earth guy, who isn't afraid to put a shift in for his team.I know it's only paper talk, but he'd improve our first team without doubt..

I wonder if moyes would wanna sign a dutch player after what happened with vdm:unsure:

Please, don't tare everyone with the same brush. Two totally different persons and players, VDM and VDV. He did sign English players after Rooney, didn't he? Also we're supposedly interested in signing Rasmus Elm, after the Kroldrup debacle a few years ago.(y)

I think he would be great for us and would definately add something to the squad.

My only issue is that he is probably on massive wages at Real Madrid, which we wont be able to match.

No doubt you have a valid point here and he should have to take a pay-cut if he joined us. To be fair, I'm sure he'd have to take that in most cases, as almost nobody will be able to match the wages, he receives at Madrid (certainy not HSV) However, he doesn't strike me as a person who is letting money decide his career path.

Unbelievable, I'm getting all excited about a vague tabloid link.:dodgy::D

Would love him, but we have obviously not got any money - to buy or cover his wages - unless Lescott goes, and I don't think he'll be any good at CB!

at 8m euros (UK keyboards should have a euro sign :dodgy:) he'd be an amazing bargain, especially if we could get his wages down, isn't 8m euros around the equivalent of Elms price??

The guy is an absolute c.u.n.t. He walked all over his home club Hamburger SV last season by one time saying he wants to leave to join Real Madrid, the other time he wants to stay at Hamburg only to raise the price of his wages. Then he joined Real Madrid and thankfully spent most of the time on the bench. Now he wanted to coma back to Hamburg but they did not want him anymore as he is a soldier and a first class [Poor language removed]. If he really joins Everton I will never watch any Everton game as I don't support soldiers, MoanU or Scousers would fit him the better tbh.
