Didn't he make a 19 year old Lascelles captain of Newcastle. Sean Longstaff, Freddie Woodman, Stuart Findlay, Jamie Sterry, Rolando Aarons all got games under him. He brought in Isaac Hayden who was around 20 at the time too.

Too much being made of style of football, I just hope whatever we do we don't look clueless doing it. For years we make transitioning from defence to attack look like we are free climbing Everest in a t shirt. Practically every other club make this look simple in comparison.

Agreed.

We are not going to turn into Man City anytime soon.
First, build a tight cohesive unit.
Start winning matches, I don't really care if they are all by 1-0.
As the team gets confidence and hopefully is a top six side or better at the business end of the season then continue to recruit better players and remove some of the dead weights.

In time, when/if successful style and type of football played becomes an increasingly important issue.


But first.... learn how to win more games.
