Black clad racists in one corner and the usual bunch bawling God Save The Queen in the other.

There is no racism in football, there is only racism in society.

True though, banning teams/nations etc won't do anything other than to stop people being racist in a football ground. It doesn't stop the problem if the person being racist.

Honestly I cant think of another way to tackle it other than the usual education stuff. Banning whole nations wont fix anything and is actually harsh on those who are not racist.

Apparently the people that started the monkey chants (as well as the previously posted here guys doing the nazi salutes) are part of Levski's ultras fanbase and seeked to provoke to turn attention to the corrupt FA and get Borislav Mihaylov fired.

Edit: basically a "Please ban us" plea, as even our own have had enough of this. No win in a year ffs.

Many black players play for both clubs and receive racist abuse rarely if ever. It's mostly down to a Blue vs Red/Police vs Army thing.

Mihaylov has put his resignation in, after the Bulgarian Prime Minister basically told him to as we're neither showing promise or playing well and for the absolute lack of control of the FA itself.

Good thing? Maybe.

We should still be well banned.

Fans can be hateful, I've heard all kinds at goodison about 10 years ago, racism was one of them and the fans around the idiots didnt do anything and tbf it's not down to the fans to sort this out.

Compulsory, non-opt out religious education for the full length of education...
People aren't born into hate, they learn it through their upbringing and their surroundings,
If all you know is tolerance and understanding then racism would die out

I'm talking national team level right now. Club level the FA should be closing stadiums. Was it Millwall that recently got fined less for racism than Mina did for that gambling thing? Regardless of who that club should have had to play games behind closed doors. Second time they should have lost points and been done with home fans for the season. Have a probation period where offenses build on each other. Third time in the probation period you're relegated. Actual punishments.

Something has to happen. The current state of things is basically saying we will be really mad if you're racist and then saying oh well we will be really mad if you do it again over and over. Seriously when is the last time something meaningful happened on this front? It's ridiculous.

Also I'm American so we have plenty of our own problems on the racism front. Football over here deals with Mexican fans shouting a homophobic curse at all of their matches which is also dealt with by doing nothing. But regardless of who does it the punishments need to be harsher or we are just accepting it.

I am sympathetic to your argument but would be even more so if your idiot golf fans didn't shout 'get in the hole' on every bloody shot.
