Blaming Starmer is pathetic and something I expect from the knuckle draggers knocking police off bikes.

Dave has a point mate, Labour and the Tories have both created a vacuum where those in society who gain the least out of society become angry when they don't see their living standards changing. The media is as much to blame, they know very well the top 1% in this country has as much wealth as the bottom 70%, but they blame minorities and stoke culture wars about women, trans people using toilets etc. because blaming our economic system would be bad for their bosses.

The organised far right are well aware of how angry people are and have been known to hold white only food banks, it's a tactic of praying on and grooming those most vulnerable and most angry.

Dread to think how my next door neighbour feels, a young Muslim nurse, single parent, with 2 small kids at home.

I had this argument with a, for want of a better term ‘special friend’ who, in the whole time I’ve known her, never showed any signs of being a Tommy fangirl, until tonight when we were talking on WhatsApp about the riots and she went off on one calling Muslims all sorts because she got attacked by one when she was younger and on the streets supposedly, even posting the memes going round and the false narratives about the Manc who had the knife at Tuesday’s protest

Tried as best I could to try and convince her that not all Muslims, Islamists and the ilk are remotely like the criminal minded ones, pointing to how openly welcoming the mosque in West Derby was last night but she wasn’t having it. We civilly agreed to end the discussion there but now it’s put massive doubts in my mind about us, wether I can work with her extreme views

The Tories and that bellend Farage have been pushing the Forens are bad line, but I personally havent seen it from Labour much, thats not to say it hasnt happened, I just personally havent seen it, before anybody starts posting "GOTCHA".

It's not ideal but a police force chronically understaffed can only do so much.

Contain and prevent loss of life has to be the priority.
