Yeah I think It feels like 6 of one , plus I also suspect the editors have had a call from the PM and they’re putting the boot into the convicted rioters with comments on crying and little digs etc .

Defo. Still too early to say whether it’s worked, as we’ve got a few nice days of weather coming up, so could kick off again. But you can see Starmer had a clear strategy - get some nicked, charged and sentenced quickly and get it reported about the severity.

But fair play to the counter protests, who did it the right way last night and kept it mainly peaceful (as far as I’ve seen).

Fingers crossed it calms down, as last weekend was utterly grim and depressing.

Harder sentences of course makes an impact.

But even after that had been public knowledge. A 100 protests where planned across the country. It was only when they realised anti protesters where filling the streets did the unrest dissipate.
