1. The last two times I've been to Goodison, I've had to leave due to a panic attack.
2. I live in Manchester.
3. I had a massive translation job on.
4. I couldn't care less about a game we would have lost anyway.
5. Moshiri and Kenwright don't care whether I go or not.
6. I stopped going to Goodison Park long before this match and I'm never going again. See point 1.
7. See the mental health thread.

I'm not spending my money on that shower of idiots. They can all burn in hell.

God what a horrible season this is turning out to be.The sad thing is, i feel that there could be a few more stings in the tail, coming down the tracks.

I went for a slash and missed us conceeding two goals. Reminded me of the hammering we got by Benfica. Barely collected my hotdog & drink and three goals flew in.

Literally only two other regular season ticketholders near me. A shambles is this club.

I claim superfan status after last nights match, because not only did I attend as usual, I managed to pay twice and over the odds for the privilege.
I bought my ST seat as usual where myself and my son sit alongside the away fans. When I later went to buy a ticket for my 10 year old daughter,as near to us as possible it was all blacked out and apparently unavailable. Consequently I had to purchase two tickets in the next block meaning I had payed twice for last nights event. To compound matters it wouldn't let me put two tickets, one at the reduced rate , through . In end I put both tickets at adult rates and when that wouldn't work pushed the 'terms and conditions ' repeatedly in frustration and hey presto it worked, unfortunately with my daughter paying full price. So an expensive night all in all.
As we sat there getting bathed in cold rain and serenaded by the massed ranks of a no - mark Italian team ,watching this debacle, I silently swore bloody vengeance on anybody who offered the opinion that this first team game didn't matter. All competitive first team games matter, even if only for the prestige of victory, or why bother at all?

Cant blame anybody for not going to that dead rubber. 2 home games in the next week to shell out for. I live 80 miles away and have got tickets for me and 2 kids ( over 18 ) for both. i wouldn't have gone last night if it was free and i lived nextdoor.

Well done to anyone who went but it is hardly surprising so many did not. The circumstances of the match and our current form hardly make it exciting at the moment. I did actually still want to go but could not because of work. Our terrible defence and brittle confidence is pretty scary though. Things are going to go against you in any game. The way we collapse is unacceptable. I do not see any leadership from the senior pros so I am hoping the young lads just take over and show them how it should be done! Maybe Seamus will be the catalyst for something better in terms of bite and fight.
Soft goals in, few goals scored is a very bad combination. Chopping and changing the team won't help either.

Been going with a season ticket since 1973,Simod cup(Millwall 3703!!Screen Sport Super Cup,Full Members Cup,oh yes I've done my stint)and honestly you can count the fixtures I have have missed literally on one hand(Sadly I can name them!!)I'm not trying the "better blue laaaaaa" stuff either it's just a fact, last night my ticket as usual was reserved through the Autocup scheme, whilst not exactly bouncing at the thought of it yesterday I still thought I'd go,driving back from work last night it hit me I didn't actually want to go to the game, first time this has happened in my life, the other games in my life I have missed it has only been due to illness or family commitments, sadly like I say last night I just didn't have the heart for it, watched it on TV and still suffered with pangs for Goodison, but without trying to be melodramatic, part of my(and your)Everton died in me last night:(
We will bounce back mate but I admit the lack of fight in so many players and the clearly hopeless organisation off it is a worry.

lollollol "Everton that"Eggylol

I went to the (1991 I think) Zenit Data Systems cup final v Palace so no - I'm a sucker for all things Everton punishment!
It's the lows that make the all to infrequent highs so special.
Me too mate, only things I can remember are Eric young for them kicking everything in blue that moved and the palace fans treating it like the fa cup final!!

I go less because, whilst I still love Everton, I find so little to enjoy about it now. It’s an expensive hobby, and less about money and more about time.
I have better parts of my life to put time and effort than continuing to support an industry that cares so little about the people who watch it, and are run by organisations that seem to be a net negative within the sport and around the world

I'm more surprised that anyone (not in the Auto Cup scheme) would actually want to have spent money watching that, so I applaud anyone who did go. It had the vibe of a pointless friendly about it, except the football on offer was bound to be awful, the full strength team available wasn't going to be playing and there was absolutely nothing in the match for the fans or players.

But I also don't think anyone can look down their noses at those that didn't bother (not sure whether the OP is doing that or merely interested in why people stayed away). It costs a lot of money to follow the club, and nearly all of us have to pick and choose what we can justify spending our money on. There was no way I was giving any of my money away for a game that didn't mean anything, for a set of players who've mostly disgraced the club this season, and especially not the full price to the club when they knew how much the fans had been let down in this competition.
