Here's the feller, Navalny, who we're supposed to be othered about. His father was a Red Army officer who made a grab for factories when the Soviet empire fell. That's done with plenty of muscle, as all the oligarchs used - ex army in many cases. Navalny himself holds some terrible views: “I want a market economy in the most wicked form—the strongest survive, the rest are simply superfluous", and he's a known racist and anti-semite. He calls immigrants cockroaches and says their expulsion is like getting rid of rotten teeth.
Such people are really not worth concerning ourselves with. Neither is Putin's well-being worth bothering about. Just let them get on with destroying each other.
These inconsistencies you think you're uncovering are not inconsistencies at all. You cant be serious in suggesting that psychotic child murderers and people who are struggling for liberation should be either ALL condemned or 'understood' together with gangsters? For very different reasons, they cant: the first are hard-wired to be unhinged, and the second are motivated by a cause that goes beyond self-aggrindizement. Gangsters are lucid, free-thinking and the ultimate selfish being - a menace.
