Of course we will need to try and add another CB when Distin goes, but we're not talking about Distin, we're talking about Heitinga.

If Heitinga is sold and Distin retires at the end of this season (which i think is highly likely) then we would be left with Jagielka and Duffy with Hibbert as cover.

Absolute piss take. Why sell a player who has just had a standout season ? Any fee for Cahill will be small, Yobo money will go directly to funding the Pienaar purchase, and Heitinga will no way be sold for £10m, more like £6m knowing this board.

Even if Moyes got £6m he'd struggle to find a player of Heitinga's ability for that much. Just because he did it with Distin and Heitinga does not mean he'll be able to do it again. What if he pulls another Bily ? We'll be at the point of no return if that happens.

Relax mate, you brought up Distin, i know what your saying your afraid of having no depth, clearly if he retires at the end of the season he will need to be replaced which was always going to be the case, i think he may go on though.

I think your putting to much emphasis on Johnny importance in the squad when really for the majority of Everton career hes been out of the team.

Jags, Duffy, Distin and tbh i suspect we may begin to see Rodwell going back into defence, he can play there if required. We've had three centre backs in the past and coped fine.

Lescott - Yobo - Jags.

Weir - Stubbs - Yobo.

Who knows maybe he will go after Dier. I can think of a few replacements tbh in that bracket dont necessarily think we will go after a centre half myself.
