The police DID take over - then the DA gave Epstein a sweetheart deal of a plea bargain and also federal immunity both to him and others!
Acosta agreed to not prosecute Epstein federally, which means Epstein is not subject to double jeopardy. Instead, his plea agreement included unusual language that granted federal immunity — not only to Epstein, but to others who were never identified or named, leading many to suspect that the deal covered up a larger sex trafficking operation, possibly crossing international borders.

But this is not Epstein, this is Prince Andrew. If the Police believe he has done something wrong either in the USA or the U.K. then he should be prosecuted. But while I don’t keep up to date with this story, I’m not aware that he has committed any crime......

They aren’t even prosecuting Maxwell despite what appears to be a mountain of evidence against her!

If they find it was true then the CPS will say insufficient evidence, or if he went to trial a jury full of grey rinse floral dressed tory pensioners would not believe the harlot!

Why the general immunity? A very good question that Acosta (the DA involved) has provided no adequate explanation for.

Or why not Maxwell? Think SDNY might have been trying to get her as well when they charged Epstein but the general immunity complicates things extremely as they are then restricted just to activity in New York state and obviously Epstein’s death further hinders things.
