I always find the Tory reverence of the royal family to be contradictory to their supposed fundamental belief of meritocracy.
Even if you give him all benefit of doubt (that he never saw anything wrong let alone did anything wrong) this statement alone is just awful

I dont think he was ever held in much regard in the first place, other than his stint in the Falklands. Your description is pretty much spot on.
Let's see him brought to justice. Now he's saying it's not even him in that photo! Not read about it, but did he comment on the video of him peeping round the front door and waving that young woman goodbye? I really, really hope that there is something out there that fully wipes out his pizza express claim.

I am unsure of the legal stuff, like, if he had sex with a 17 year old, in the UK thats not illegal, but apparently it is in the US? There would be no chance, legally, of proving he knew about Epsteins alleged misdemeanours and ergo being guilty by association, so I guess it would be a straight fight between what he says and what the girl says. And thats assuming the US would extradite him anyrate.
Seems unlikely. But as I say, not really an expert in this stuff.
