What we see today with most managers are benign and carefully scripted responses to journalist's questions designed to cause the least offence. You can't blame them because the detailed fan analysis and tearing apart of every spoken word, sometimes fuelled by their own individual agenda/emotion can potentially via social media strip a team of its confidence or get you the sack! We only really see the most successful managers opening up a bit more because they are afforded the respect. It's only when things are either going great or extremely bad that they tend to vere from the script. I wish it wasn't like this but social media has changed the world.
