I wish someone would have the stones ask why he thinks we’re conceding so many on corners.

He covered that before Huddersfield.

Comes down to the fact we've not had players settled in the areas - CB and CM - for Zonal to work. Also individual mistakes from players - DCL and Tosun - at the near post but it'll come together when everything settles.

West Ham Presser highlights:

No thoughts on 'being tapped up'. Focus totally on the football.

No thoughts on any punishments for it ... "its nothing to do with me or my players".

Loves the support Moshi gives him and they can work well together to improve the club.

Mina injury free and needs now to only build his fitness up.

Same with McCarthy but also needs to build up his confidence.

DCL fit for tomorrow. Jags still out. Bernard to be involved and is fit. Gomes still out. Keane out for a few more days and is doing specialised work in training. Walcott fit. Gueye fit.

No new news on Coleman until tomorrow.

On Lookman ... "I expect big commitment from every player when they come through the gates at training. The market wasn't just for him and now its over. He's already at a big club that wants him. He's happy. He needs to be focused and give us 100% every day."

West Ham will be tough but we have to play with intensity and play to win.

Learning every day. Huddersfield gave us respect and we need to learn to play in different formations.

Pleased for Richarlison. We miss him but him, Walcott Lookman and Bernard are good and big players for us.

Silva said "I told you when he arrived Richarlison can play any of the front 3 positions. It doesnt surprise me he was good down the middle for Brazil".

We have injuries but it's up to us to work around them.

I am a great believer in playing our best players and then looking at the system, rather than slavishly following a system and picking players for each position within that system.

This is almost a freebie, as nobody expects us to win, so maybe time for a change or two.

Pickford

Kenny. Zouma. Mina. Digne

Gueye. Siggy

Walcott. Bernard. Lookman

Richarlison

Gueye breaks up play, passes to Siggy who plays like a quarter back - spraying passes to our forwards.

I recall a certain Alf Ramsey saying the same to Ball and Stiles in 66. 'Your job is to win the ball and give it to Bobby Charlton.' That didn't work out too bad!

Bernard and Lookman can interchange. If Bernard tires we can bring on Schneiderlin or Davies and move Siggy forward. If Lookman isn't working out then Richarlison on the left and DCL or Tosun up front.

I’m not sure who wins the ball back in that team. West Ham ran all over Siggurdson and Gueye last week. I’d put Davies in there in a 3 with Gueye sitting and Siggurdson and Davies ahead of him.

It does require Gueye to run around like a headless chicken, breaking play up, but that is supposedly what he is good at. If Jimmy Mac can come back fit and strong (I know, I know) then he could be excellent in that role. We could then have a 4-3-3 which I think Silva prefers with Jimmy Mac, Gueye and Siggy playing quite narrow behind Walcott, Richarlison and Bernard.

Throw in a big January signing for the CF position and we start to look quite sexy.
