This ^I'm a season ticket holder. I spend thousands of pounds a year following Everton.
I will get a refund for every match we can't go to this season. I also won't have associated match going costs.
I have no problem with paying extra to watch non-televised matches.
Why should I get them for free?
Similar in Australia, I get every single game from the premier league, champions league, europa cup, internationals, J league and nations league and 2 dedicated football channels, all included for free in my $35 phone plan, or you can buy an annual subscription for $99.Good idea but far too expensive. £5 would be a fairer price point.
It amazes me how in England you still can’t watch every PL match. You are restricted to just the televised games.
For context, here in Japan I pay about a tenner a month for DAZN which lets me watch every single PL game (plus all the other European leagues, Champions League, J League etc.) live and in HD, and also available for about 3 days afterwards too.
Now I’d swap that in a heartbeat for my old season ticket in the the Lower Gwladys and some away days thrown in, and that’s my point, would it really affect match attendances at the Premier League level? Shouldn’t they just adjust the law and allow all games to be televised by the TV companies? Is it fair that people outside the U.K. get a luxury viewing experience of the PL, but British people are restricted in the country where the matches are actually being played?

In regards to the UK, I'm pretty sure they dont allow 3pm Saturday games to be broadcast because it would have an effect on lower league attendances, the thinking being that a lot of people won't go and watch their local team live if there is a premier league game on telly. I know there are no fans at the moment, but allowing it now would set a precedent for when fans do return and it would weaken their position when sky inevitably do ask for all games to be broadcast

Don't think so, I don't watch it and have never heard anyone talking about it. I suppose some people will watch it now and again if they need a football fixIs there much interest in the J League out there in Oz?
Indeed. Quite scary thinking the disparity between them/utd/Chelsea/Arsenal and the rest.
The media behemoth created by the public clamouring to give it money for what they already had ripping people off shocker. What’s everyone’s thoughts on this £14.99 PPV for Premier League Fixtures?
As if we don’t allready pay enough with Sky Sports, BT Sports, Amazon Prime etc.
Also I know we are getting a refund in stages throughout the season but I don’t appreciate being asked to pay to watch games iv essentially allready paid to see.
I get there’s illegal streams online but they do my head in buffering and with commentary in foreign languages.
They’ll be in no rush to get fans back in if they can cream £14.99 a game for the rest of the season.
I’d probably stump £5/10 given the current circumstances but £14.99? Outrageous!!
You might find our numbers might be quite good this season considering how well we are playing. You have to remember this is the domestic market only. Would be interesting to see the numbers
I'm kinda interested in seeing what demographics the adverts for a Burnley West Brom game would be now. Infomercial for Laurence Fox and two for one deals on euthanasia. The media behemoth created by the public clamouring to give it money for what they already had ripping people off shocker.
Do you get adverts too for that £15?
