Whats the betting we start to see games like Brighton v Fulham on Super Sunday and the United and Liverpool games are the ones that are £15 a pop?
Same my mate does iptv on an app on firestick usually £45 6month subscription.mates rates for me so i pay £25 for 6 months get full live tv lots of streams for each station.with all uk channels including sky movies sports and bt sport also get all american movies and sports.then foreign sports like bein, supersport, european channels and bookmakers channels and racing.also comes with guide so you know whats on where and when.Is it perfect? No of course it’s not. But in terms of value for money it’s unbeatable.
I get ALL of the SKY channels including movies. Also Racing TV & SKY Sports Racing which
for me is worth the subscription alone. I just checked and I pay £65 a year. Less than a monthly
subscription to SKY. As always it’s each to his own.
And I just remembered I get all of the big PPV boxing matches as well (when they are on)
Won’t happen, as there’s nothing in that for the broadcasters & they’re making nothing from the PPV either.Whats the betting we start to see games like Brighton v Fulham on Super Sunday and the United and Liverpool games are the ones that are £15 a pop?
Crossed my mind that.
They are trying to see what they can get away with no doubt. Reminds me when a CEO at EA wanted to implement a pay by the bullet scheme in first person shooters. Just flat out greed. No reason why they can’t do a monthly streaming service for all of the games and charge monthly.I think its to put feelers out,see what the reaction is,a while ago I said it wnt be too long before the top 6 teams push to negotiate their wn TV rights as they think they are the reason the league exists and will try and get a lions share of the cash
Sky and BT aren't making any money from the PPV, just taking enough to cover costs of production. Even if they were, they are competing against each other for subscribers. If Sky didn't pick Man U v Liverpool for example, BT would and vice versa depending on who gets first pick. This is a real tightrope for them, if the games that drive big audiences are moved to PPV, they kill their subscription model and vice versa. It's the inbetweens which I would be worried for medium term when they are at the point of choosing which matches to select for PPV without impacting subscription numbers. If you look at that for last year; that would be us, Newcastle, Man City, West ham and spurs, who are the second tier ratings drivers.
Worrying
