I think they'll try to start without controversy so will go for two no brainers that almost every supporter respects. My guess is Henry and Shearer.
I'm sure a few on here wouldn't mind Steven Gerrard and Robbie Fowler as the first two !Giggs. Has to be.
All time top scorer and record PL winner means the first 2 are simply inarguable.
The thing is Henry to me is a way better player than Ryan Giggs. So that would be an argument.Giggs. Has to be.

Peak Giggs was some player. The thing is Henry to me is a way better player than Ryan Giggs. So that would be an argument.
I think there's a real case that Henry is the best player in the almost 3 decade PL era. Do you think Giggs is in that discussion? And I just mean purely how good they were at their peak?
Genuinely asking, I didn't see 90s Giggs.

I don't like using team championships as evidence for individual accolades in any sport. Those United sides were dominant because of a whole host of players who will eventually make this HOF. But if you look at it Giggs was the best player on how many of those teams? He won player of the year in 08/09 so give him that (even though I have questions about that one myself) and maybe some of the ones after Cantona left in the late 90s you could say he was the best guy, but it still feels like the bulk of it rests on team achievements which isn't what this is about imo.Well Giggs won 13 titles. More than anyone else. Shearer scored more goals than anyone else.
So I think, for the first 2 to go in, an objective analysis is more appropriate than a subjective opinion.
