Disgraceful to be honest. Why should City be held back if the owner wants to pump his money in? He shouldnt have to do all this shady stuff if there wernt such stupid rules in place.

Like us having to make up a £30mill first refusal on the name of the new ground. If an owner wants to spend and they have the resources why not let them?

These rules are designed to ensure that the football elite is a closed shop. The big clubs have the most revenue, therefore can spend the most money, therefore buy the best players and stay at the top.

Obviously City are a Roided up club, but so were Blackburn and Chelsea.
Real Madrid have been printing money for about 70 years.

My own view is "if you enter a competition, then you abide by the rules therein", but no doubt City will employ some clever, sharp bollox of a Lawyer and loopholes will be jumped through.

They hadn't won a trophy for 30 years and weren't likely to, same as Chelsea and then all of a sudden, crash, bang wallop an injection of cash they had never earned and then a plethora of silverware appears.
That they stopped clubs we may or may not like winning titles during that period is irrelevant.
Everything they have won since they were taken over is tainted. We all know that.
Acceptance of it is a mindset based purely on whichever agenda you choose to follow and argue.

Chelsea were a regular top four club who won two FA Cups and a European trophy just before they got bought

Waiting for UEFA to say the PL will forfeit one of those places if City finish in the top four. They don't miss an opportunity to penalise us the cowards.
