that was a dire performance, but 3 points will do me. we knew this was gonna be tough, and it had banana skin written all over it, so thank **** we got through it cos for the last 30 mins my arse was twitching

lucky you it was just your arse that was twitching, I thought I was gonna be sick

only watched last half hour, thought baines played well, as did howard (save in extra time? thank god for him) and most of the defence. didnt see much of billy, saha, jo, rodwell and osman/hibbert, fellaini seemed to give the ball to portsmouth more than to our own at times but played ok from what i saw

3 points, back to first half table

Did not actually see the game but read all the posts.

For me back to the age old problem of Moyes and Selection. We have a newly signed player who has already done well this season and moyes selects Osman?????? Osman is the biggest waste of space you can find.

Crazy subs which damn near screw the team. Peanuts off for Billy and Osman stays on to be replaced by Hibbo, what the f*** is Moyes thinking of? has he got money on Pompey winning?

3 points is what counts come end of season.

We won didnt we?

Just checking

Looking at the bigger picture mate.

We were playing against a side who had lost 6 in a row. We had just scored 11 goals in 3 games. We should have battered them, but we sat back, hardly put in a notable tackle in midfield.

I know we can grind out results if we put the performance in, but we just invited on the pressure. Against other sides who are more confident we would get beat.

Pienaar was injured mate, stretchered off.

Shocking performance that. Just played the worst side in the Premiership and we made them look like Barcelona.

Rodwell displayed why we can't expect him to play week in, week out - anonymous.

Moyes was again reluctant to make a change unless he absolutely has to. Rodwell couldn't get a touch and should gave been replaced from the hour mark with Heitinga central and Neill/Hibbert being put right back. Could have done with bringing Jo on earlier to work the channels and give us an outlet, Saha was dead on his legs.

That said, that was our 4th game in 10 days and it was an important win. A defeat especially after taking the lead would have set us right back, we needed a jump up the table. Saha is also on a fantastic run of form and its another big clean sheet.

Fingers crossed on Pienaar and heres hoping Portsmouth and Michael Brown go down - horrible, horrible club that.
