Yeah but why Portsmouth away at 12.45 on a Sat 2 seasons in a row?

Did sky pick it and insist on the time and date or was it already set like this and they just decided to show it cause there are no other games at that time.

Just seems kind of odd to me, and not good for our away support.

Looks like the travelling Evertonian need to stay overnight somewhere near Portsmouth!

I would rather they show it 17:15, that way I would be able to watch the game, but 12:45 I would be getting the last 20 mins if I am lucky!

i dont care if we win by a own goal, i really hate portsmouth for there bully boy tactics on the pitch. its about time they went down.

If Pompey fans had been able to choose a team to visit Fratton Park in their hunt for first points of the season you doubt Everton would be top of anyones list.

Pompey are in a bad, bad way. Asset stripped of all but 4 of the 11players that won 2-1 at Fratton last March, they’ve lost 10 of their last 12 league matches including the last seven in a row. They’ve failed to score in 9 of their last 12 league games and even lost their last three at Fratton Park.

Pompey did the league double over us last year but the dangermen so effective against Moyes' Midget Gems are gone. No quality deliveries from Johnson and Kranjar, no Crouch to capitalise and an uncomfortable looking back four. What more could the Mighty Blues ask for in an away match to keep our current momentum going?

Pompey won't lose every game but I can't see them turning their fortunes around on Saturday. Pienaar, Cahill and Saha all nicely rested, add to that Billy finding his feet rapidly and there's goals aplenty in the attacking third. 0-2 could easily turn into 4 or 5 and Hart will be feeling the heat come Sunday morning.

COYB!!

Two sets of whopper fans in consecutive games.

Hope we smash them all over the show for crimes against football.

The sky cameras arent loving you so much are they you baddest of all teds?

This may be complete bollocks, but apparently there will be widespread protests from their fans at this game aimed at that al-Fahim over the way their club is being run by him, and the general lack of investment that has appeared since he took over (they have already been told there is no money in January for players). He was meant to have a meeting with an "alliance" of their supporters groups tonight but failed to show, which has kicked off all manner of things:

Really too late for em when he did take over. They did buy or loan about 9 players but had to get rid of loads to balance the books. It was gonna be hard to get players of quality back in, especially with their ridiculous wage bill.

I think ESPN picked some plum games over em. They had the MEGA game of Burnley Vs Sunderland last Saturday. Slacking arle Sky IMO.

burnley v sunderland is a clever move by sky as it adds to two less desirible sides live tv tally in one go! (as every prem side has to be shown 'x' amount of times a season). and its at the start of the season when games are looked at being less important there for freeing up the end of season big games!
