Your mistaking good football with good results, we smashed Newcastle and Fulham, just couldnt slot and conceded late goals.

So we have Southampton,Villa,Swansea,Fulham and Newcastle from a season that has 38 games not including cup games

Have I missed any other games?

The Tiki taka between Jags and Distin gave me eye Aids, I think its improved a bit now, Barry and McCarthy are more willing to drop and take the ball off them.

it's the only negative of the style so far imo. But they've been use to hoofing the ball for the last 5/6 years. they've probably forgotten how to pass the ball neatly. I don't think working purely on fitness rather than with the ball in training would have helped with this either.

People need to go back and watch a replay of Southampton (a) last season if they don't think we're more entertaining. I honestly could not believe how bad we were in the opening 45 minutes of that game, moreso when you consider how important a match it was for us.

think this makes it less surprising mate, given the man at the helm

I clearly stated the first half of the season, would you like me to review each of these games?

Its not the first half of the season though

We have 5 games were we played boss out of 19 games

Hardly setting the world alight

Also I think the fact Fellaini was on top form during most of those games helped

And so far we have played really well in 1 half and ground out results in the others.

Thus meaning its not as enjoyable this season.

I know people are going on about passing it round at the back but I think the players have done fantastic getting used to a new style of play while actually still winning football matches.

I'm more interested in can Bob win us more football matches than Moyes did due to his negative, dull tactics. If you look at the second half on Saturday, I don't know what Bob did but he completely nullified them after half time. Whether that was the sub, which was much earlier than Moyes would of acted, or some subtle changes, we won a game that at half time was in doubt. If he keeps doing that and trying to play good football then it makes for a much more enjoyable trip to the match

I never said it was did I?

Its the fact you said we played some great stuff till Xmas when in reality it was about 5 games out of 16 that we played really well

Add in the defeats to Leeds,Reading and West Brom and the draws against Wigan,QPR and Norwich and it was not that great

Wigan,QPR,Norwich,Leeds,Reading and West Brom we played poorly

Fulham and Newcastle we played well

RS about average

Reading away for 45 mins we were absolutely awesome it was the most one sided half of football you could want to see. Shame about the second half though

So it was not that great then was it

Just like this season against West Ham or Newcastle

Anyone would think we got 15 points and finished last playing terrible football all season. A quick counter to the long ball, hoof and defend posts.

Just a quick look at the BBC results website and you can see the reports from last year... Yes we lost some and didn't win the league, we even got embarrassed a couple of times, but apart from Jan/Feb we were generally good at both results and performance, and even some of those in those two months were quality.

We've had decent possession, and played well last season throughout, not just for a month or whatever people are imagining, and were the better team in the majority of games.

Make of it what you will.. Here are some of the positive ones I found. Working backwards towards the start of the season:

I have enough there that my argument can be backed up with relevant statistics...Stats may not tell everything but fk me they certainly point towards the idea that we didn't just long ball and defend all game, every game, doesn't it?

You simply don't get more shots and more possession than the opposition doing that.
