Has being bought out even been worth it?

We were badly run for 20 odd years by somebody who brought no new money himself to the club but walked away with 25 million in his pocket when he sold his shares. We are 5 years into the Moshiri era. Let's reserve judgement for now. Bullshit Bill got a free pass from most Evertonians for all that time. Let's see where we are after a decade of Moshiri.

I went for the camembert but we've just finished 10th and a brick hasn't been laid on Bramley Moore so no.

Bill Kenwright staring misty eyed at Walton Hall park has he drives past and drawing a picture of a stadium on the back of a programme for a third failed stadium project (to go along with a failure to even build some shops behind the park end). Hiring northwest based managers who are out of contract and an almost permanent sell to loan transfer policy.

vs.

Moshiri building us a world class waterfront stadium at the first time of asking. Appointing whichever managers he wants, providing transfer funds, and buying up half the waterfront.

This is a tough one.
Shall we put you down for Camembert on rye then

For all his good intentions, Moshiri has ended up just bankrolling the old regime.

It's like an alternate reality where Robert Earl was a genuine investor, rather than just a frontman brought in to ring-fence shares with Green's money.

Could someone pass the brown sauce please?

The biggest disappointment this season over other seasons regarding getting in the CL was in the past the teams ahead of us never really give us a sniff as they were just better all round and we couldn't get close to them. This season we have been given the opportunity numerous times on a plate against opposition we should beat (We all now what games I'm talking about) with a 6/10 performance. Its not that we expected to get in the CL its more that it was there to be took and the arse fell out of us again, because that's what Everton FC does.
It’s us lol

I think Moshiri has been fleeced left right and centre by the parasites around football. Probably seen millions, tens of millions set fire to in effect. I never saw the sense in allowing an accused bung merchant in Allardyce to buy Walcott and Tosun for over the odds when the club must have known they were dispensing with his services as soon as practicable? The Soggy fee was astronomical and absurd, and many many people said so at the time. I think the mans resources have been diverted to the wrong hands whichi is why we've gone nowhere. If he doesn't get some return on his investment or starts to suspect he's being robbed we might end up in an Ellis Short / Randy Lerner style deal.

It's fair to say Moshiri money has been almost entirely wasted to this point. But the stadium is the make or break part of the equation in reality another reason that ESL nonsense was so dangerous for a club in our position.

How ironic that we have Big Blue Bill the tightarse helping to waste Mishiri’s money.

Moshiri has probably spend more on paying off managers contracts than Bill spent on 20 years worth of players.

....before Moshiri we might have been smarter with cash but we were one really poor manager from being relegated.

I would hope we have enough to buy ourselves out of trouble if it’s not going well on the pitch. Moshiri has invested, but to this point he hasn’t got his managerial/DoF appointments right.
