Higher standards as in, despite getting them regular Top 4 and a Champions league final, the Spurs board have acted with Spurs in 14th in just 14 points from 12 games....

So let me get this straight, a lot of their best players want out and already look to be going so Spurs sack the best manager they could realistically have and are now going to be worse of in terms of not only playing staff but managerial staff too? They sack the bloke who knew who the bad eggs are, was presumably going to get rid of them and also probably had some kind of idea of who to replace them with. A new manager and all new players isn’t exactly the proven thing in the PL is it?
