Players you were happy we signed but turned out to be pants, and vice versa.

Was at the game at Burnden Park that got abandoned when Georgie Wood collided with a Bolton player that broke his leg then when he recovered a year or so later had another bad injury the knee I think, then we paid (the original) 60 grand for him and I thought Christ he's f**ked what a waste of money - Ladies and Gentlemen …..Peter Reid
Is this the one where it snowed. Remember parking the car with the snow coming down. So much snow the traffic was delayed. Think we arrived quite late walking to the ground and people were coming the other way telling us the game was abandoned

It is very Everton to already be writing off Moise Kean. I'm telling you guys he will come good if he can find his way on the field, which is a problem with Richarlison and DCL blocking his way, but hopefully one we can solve.

As for Klaassen, I was really happy to sign him and then I saw a tweet that showed the number of touches for a bunch of different Ajax games and Klaassen had a shockingly low amount for a central midfielder. The guy said it would be an issue and it absolutely was. What's crazier is Sigurdsson had the same exact issue. What a terrible window that was.
With klassen a few Ajax fans came on here and said he was a good player but would really struggle in the premier League. Pity Koeman never read them

That’s the one

New Years day wasn’t it?

I was wowed when we bought Whiteside even though the git scored against us when he was a nipper .
I was unaware of his injury so I was gutted that he didn't make more of his stay at Everton . Not his fault but he wasn't the same player he was when he was at United .

"In 2015, he was charged with affray and possession of a Class A drug after calling police to his home in Esher, believing there to be an intruder on the premises.

"He was tasered at the scene by officers after he charged topless at them armed with a meat cleaver, before being apprehended and taken into custody. He received a fine and a 12-month suspended sentence."

lol Sounds like something out of Phoenix Nights!
And was then arrested for possession of cocaine at Chessington world of adventures! That's an unusual rap sheet.

Was Sandro a disappointment or did we just make up this player that didn’t exist? I mean none of us saw him play and we just made up this story that Athletico/Real were after him when in reality they likely weren’t (hence why he came here). I think us ourselves are to blame for this particular disappointment.
I watched him at Malaga a few times and he looked the real deal. He was on loan from Barca where he'd done well and I still don't know what went wrong
at Everton.

Edit. Maybe not on loan but on a low buy back clause which we ended up paying.

Eto’o was a great shout, signed him for like 3 or 4 million as a second strike option but he never took off and I think he got on Bobby’s wrong side (probably because Eto’o knew what a joke he was).

I was here yelling about overpaying for Richarlison but he’s absolutely worth it.

And at the risk of starting a riot I think DCL has become fantastic value for money. He may just be a poacher but those are incredibly useful to have.

I mean if he was a serviceable squad player for a few years I think most of us would've been able to accept that, but the lad cannot kick a football at all. His complete absence of ability actually stunned me.
