Player Valuation: £1m
Absolutely awesome, showed that he has come on leaps and bounds in terms of his final ball and ability not to give away silly passes. I thought his all round awareness was fantastic and he was the best player on the pitch. We need to convince him that this is where he belongs and the only way we can do it is if we get into Europe this season and also put him on top wages, its simple he deserves them.

Great performance all round in my opinion though, especially from the midfield. Distin is like a headless chicken at times though!

Put on a belter yesterday, we need to get him signed ASAP, obviously.

However, if he were to leave come Jan/next summer, at least we know he's the type of player i.e. yesterday that will still give his all, no matter what, therefore Moyes did a good move by not trying to get a wee bit of £££'s for him this summer, I believe.

Looked more like the Pienaar we know, but it was only against Gary Neville he was never going to be able to match Pienaar, and I won't take only one good performance and say he deserved to become one of our top earner, I wait and see how he does against RS & Spurs in October before making that judgement and he got to keep up this performance for more than couple of games at a time as well.

The contract he agreed is still there waiting for him to sign it isn't it ?
IMO he needs to trust the ginger scottish one, and put his career in his hands rather than a greedy agent who just wants his 10% to be 10% of a bigger sum.

hi d2001 erm like have you seen many everton games over the last 4 seasons coz youve missed pienaar being our main man for most of his time here- pienaar is ace and we will badly regret it if he goes

Hats off to Peanuts
he did say he wanted to score against UTD - bold statement and a fantastic performance to back it up. Sign on the dotted line littleman you know where your home is!!!

I know and yes I have watched almost every single of his game for Everton, I know what he can do, but unfortunately so far, the Man Utd game was the only good performance we had from him.

I know he has been great for us ever since he has arrived and we have already offer him an good pay rasie on his extension to his current contract, but he is refusing to sign the new one, so, if he is asking for a bit more then he must show us he could still do better and on a more consistent bases.

i would be sorry to see him leave, but we could only afford to pay him so much wages and if he want more then he is got to show us, he got more in the tank then he has already shown in the past.
