Anyone seen pip’s interview with the beeb?

Pulled out the Caroline flack/suicide card.

Denied the facts which, to the common man, look like a classic case of grooming.

Admitted ‘bumming’ the lad when he was 20/21, but looked extremely shifty when asked to clarify the age of first sexual contact.

At worst he’s groomed this kid. At best he’s been very naive and made a stupid mistake that’s cost him his career.

Not in defence of Pip at all here, but I think this kind of stuff is common place in all walks of life. Pip won’t be the first or last to get caught!

  • Schofield said homophobia was a factor in people who disapproved of their relationship, adding: "If it was male-female then it wouldn't be such a scandal"

F right off!

No one cares about homosexuality any more. It makes no difference whether you’re noncing with a male or female, it’s the noncing that’s the problem.

There's certainly been more than a hint of that.

I mean, if it turns out there is more to this story as many seem to think, then fair game for calling him out on it.
But if it turns out to be just an 'ill advised but legal' affair with an man of legal age, then I hope those people calling him a wrongun' for the age-gap alone turn their attention to many straight celebs with very young girlfriends as well.

With Dicaprio, it's just a funny meme though, right?

I like to think that's not the case for most of us on here mate.
I certainly couldn't care less where people find love and happiness, the world needs more of it.

I don't disagree about the age gap comment and certainly there are some horrible journos out there that need vollying into space.

What I do take exception to though is grooming/abuse of power and that obviously isn't specfic to any sexual orientation.

Having read what I can about this case it seems that, at the absolute best, he's completely broken his duty of care to the young man and therefore has deservedly been vollied out of ITV. I'd wage that isn't the end of it though.

Tbh, it seems to be the exact opposite.

It`s looking like that one of the reasons, that people stuck their head in the sand, was due them being wary of saying anything, for fear of being called homophobic

Oh yes they do, see the previous post.

It’s all alleged but it really doesn’t look good for Shofe, here.

Seems like he’s massively gone into damage limitation mode, to try and take the heat off him before it inevitably comes out that he’s groomed him.

Was he not questioned on being out for lunch with the lad and being caught on video? He seemed to be creating the image that it was only really via twitter they communicated until the lad was older.

Theres many questions within that. What age was the lad then, who knew they were out for lunch, why ask for the video not to be posted in fear of it ruining your career while doing nothing wrong etc.

He made a career of going at people in interviews but now its his turn to be on the other end he wanted a respectful interview and empathy. Not so nice when the shoes on the other foot.

Watched a clip of the interview on last night's news with the Mrs. She had a very good point. There's no problem with a response to a question on twitter. But it should have ended with one response. The boyshould have been told to "concentrate on his school work and revise for his exams". The fact that it didn't end at that and he apparently met him several times just reeks of grooming.

Gutted here, how come they didn't stage his interview like the prince andrew one with Emily Maitlis? It could've been amazing.
This lemon is 61 and has been on tv for 40 years. Cashed up to the eyeballs. Go and chill out on the French riviera and call it a day.

barrymore made it back on tv in big brother, maybe andrew windsor can sign up to dancing on ice or something.

Is that a direct quote from the interview? 🤣

Me and the Mrs have always had a feeling he was a bit of a wrongun. Just got a sense with the air of arrogance he carries with him.

I don't care if he brushed the kids/lads/gophers hair

Grooming seems to be the thing with young ones these days - remember bryl cream
