What’s his eyesight got to do with it ????Even in 2020, a brave decision.
Good luck to him.
Fair play to him, very braveSilver haired Tory bellend declares himself silver haired gay Tory bellend

Yeah, anybody openly coming out as a Tory must have very thick skinFair play to him, very brave
He probably feared judgement from his friends, family. Possibly the end of his career in the public eye. Maybe even a beating from the lads in his hometown. These are only assumptions of course but I know people who have been so in fear of coming out they've surpressed it so much they've had kids and got married whilst living a lie.Is it ok in these woke days, (still not sure what that actually means), for a middle aged bloke to be a bit baffled by this?
Like every single bloke I have known personally who has come out as gay, we all knew anyrate. (Family and friends) It just was never an issue, nor a surprise. The only time I raised my eye brows in surprise with a public figure was Alfie Thomas. For about 3 seconds.
He clearly loves his wife, and kids, obvs, but not getting too graphic, do gay blokes get attracted to girls enough to have a family?
That is so clumsy, but I have mates who I love. But even in the dark, even a bit drunk, I doubt I could raise to the occasion, so to speak. Cos I aint attracted to them, in that way.
So if he has been dealing with living a lie for nearly 30 years, being in the public eye for all of that, then telling the "truth" today, then holy cow, thats some burden to carry for so long.
Call me sceptic buy I don't believe he was living a lie as it were, not in the traditional sense. Is it ok in these woke days, (still not sure what that actually means), for a middle aged bloke to be a bit baffled by this?

Elton John and 'Someone Saved My Life Tonight' springs to mind. I know what event it was written for, but I wonder if Taupin knew much more earlier on.I always consider those in turmoil to be more akin to your Freddy mercury types who are thrust into the limelight so quickly that they have to assume the generic role of gf and straight to be taken seriously. Thankfully that is rooted in the past!
Yeah same with Elton. A whole other world to now days , where they wouldn't play your record if you were gay let alone let you release an album.Elton John and 'Someone Saved My Life Tonight' springs to mind. I know what event it was written for, but I wonder if Taupin knew much more earlier on.
