It wasn't even intelligent movement by Kane, he just sauntered back a few yards. Probably wasn't even concerned about pulling a centre back out of position, but Captain Jags did it anyway.
..I think it was tactical. He took Jagielka, Martina had to follow Son when he moved inside which left our left side totally exposed. It was like a chess move. Sigurdsson chasing back too late and the rest is history. It is a concern that an Allardyce defence was left as open as that. No wonder he said afterwards that he’s going to show them replays of the game.

Has been at the club about five years too long. Disgraceful keeping him for all that time, and now having him, still, starting games as captain. Smalltime thinking from a smalltime board. No ambition to shift him on and get a genuinely good defender in.
