Just realised he's out for three games for a dangerous challenge and not just the one game I initially thought. Massive, massive blessing in disguise, this.
That was not the 1st time i heard that,NBC said they spoke to people during HT etc

Probably a yellow card but certainly not a serious foul, and three games (for him personally) is a massive slap in the face. Obviously for the club as a whole it's great, but at the time it cost us the victory and it's a shameful decision by the referee. That said, he mis-controlled it and was obviously trying to make up for his error and slightly mis-timed the tackle, albeit not in a particularly dangerous way.Sorry but never in a million years is that a foul,
First time I've seen it and that's absolutely ridiculous...
While I've no problem seeing jags replaced with Mina/zouma thats a disgraceful decision and clearly affected the result
Sometimes i do wonder whether it maybe a case of Kenwright and his big blue family, he seems to love all that sentimental rubbish, just look at the Rooney thing last year. Both players are out of contract at the end of the season i think? so it will be interesting to see what happens and if they get offered extensions, i doubt the fans will be happy if they do.I feel like he's doing a Howard, sticking around too long when he is way past his sell by date. If Howard would've left after Martinez's first season then he would've been remembered relatively fondly, but now all i remember is him flapping at every ball and doing his star jumps as the ball bobbles in.
It's unfair that Jags (and to a lesser extent Baines) could be soiling the status and reputation they've gained over the years by staying here too long. I should be remembering the countless good performances he's put in but atm there is getting sent off (his fault because of that horrendous touch) and getting absolutely sent out of the stadium by that hobbit who plays for Blackburn.
Should be the last we see of him bar an injury crisis or his testimonial as he is now 5th choice.
So bored of our fans hating on everything. Jags is coming to the end of his career but hes been a great player for us, you can question his captaincy but manager after manager choose him as captain but davek from the Grandoldteam forum says hes a crap captain so he must be.
I remember the recording in the tunnel of the semi a few years ago and Barkley thinking the fans were booing him with Jags trying to reassure him they werent. Exactly the things that go on behind the scenes that we dont see.
when I saw it live in the ground my first impression was that's going to be a red for a professional foul (potentially last man) as it was quite low I didn't notice the contact with the ankle.
Then when I got the train home I was shown a replay and the angle of the replay made it look like a perfectly timed tackle which i then thought it was a harsh decision.
But then other replays I saw later in the evening on the tele showed the connection after the ball was played straight on to the attackers ankle. I can see from that why he gave a red and since then Jagielka has accepted the decision as well. It was a genuine attempt to play the ball but unfortunately it was too much although most of the time the referees would miss it or give benefit of doubt but Pawson seemed to have no hesitation in what he saw at the time.
Just a shame there's no consistency as Petr Cechs one yesterday was a lot higher and worse.
it's not a bad tackle though, end of..... there's no other way to make that challenge at a stretch.Probably a yellow card but certainly not a serious foul, and three games (for him personally) is a massive slap in the face. But it was given for goalscoring opportunity as opposed to the recklessness, which is what grates people.
It's a massive decision, there's no way the ref can say 100% it was a goalscoring opportunity. If the striker had the ball under control and then jags made the foul we'd have nothing to complain about, but it was a 50/50 tackle going on, it wasn't a clear chance at goal in any way.
