His recent interview revealed a little compunctiousness regarding his and Bainesy’s role in Roberto’s downfall. He’s still got a big part to play in Everton’s return to ‘giant club’ status and the fact he now wears lace-less slip ons should only enhance his lion-like leadership qualities.

What interview?
 
Whilst I totally understand people's haste to move Jags on, it grates me that so called fans of our club are so quick to disrespect a player that has been truly immense for many previous years. Theres a way of doing things and saying things, yet so many in here want to slate players like Jags and Baines now they no longer want then. In my view we have been truly privileged to have them over the past several years and, whilst I agree neither can be a regular starter going forward, they deserve respect. Forever COYB, but show some decency when talking about loyal players of our beloved club people!!!!
 
If Capt Jags remains as captain, I hold little optimism that Everton will progress much. Nothing personal against Capt Jags but I'd rather refer to him as ex-Capt Jags. Marco needs to get that armband to Seamus.
