Shame for him because the decision was harsh, but hopefully his last significant game for us.

Decision was really harsh, but he obviously should have never put himself in that position. Criminally bad play in a span of 5 seconds sums up Jagielka these past couple of years

Misconstrolled the ball yes. Awful mistake. For me though an excellent front facing recovery tackle where he got the ball and then momentum carried him through into the man. I honestly don't even think it was a foul, let alone a Red card!! Encouraging performance and more quality to come onto the team which will mean Jags wouldn't have been involved next time out anyway.

Lost control of the ball, lunged in, never got the ball (after watching a few times in slow motion) went through on the lads ankle, was actually quite nasty, fuming if it was against us and wasn't given as a red, blue tinted glasses off, red card.

He probably realised the lads were looking potent in training and thought we were in danger of actually winning away and in true fashion did something about it.

I’ve watched that challenge about 20 times. Disgraceful decision in my opinion. He goes in to win the ball, wins it, slight contact on the player after contact with the ball. Foul? I don’t think so. Red for denying a goal scoring opportunity? Never in a million years for me.
