Our record England cap holder (as an Everton player) and the only player to captain England whilst playing for us. Some achievement. Would love to see him get his coaching badges and come back to us in the future and win a trophy.
Thanks for the memories - and unlike many players to don the Royal blue and white, you gave us quite a few.

Very good player in earlier years. Excellent servant. I fell down a stairs celebrating his strike v liverpool. . Wish him the best.

Can't knock the guy. One of the best defenders in the league at his best and loves the club.

I remember being excited that summer we had so many ‘captains’ and then Koeman lost his fat head.

Been a great player for the club. Think its the right time for him to go though. He's still a good enough player to play at a decent level, not right he'd spend another season sitting on the bench.
